I am planning a trip to the Swan in January. I don't have enough points now to cover all the nights. But due to upcoming travel plan, I expect to have enough by the time we go in January to cover most of it. Can I make regular reservations now, and then redeem my accumulated points at check-in? I am preferred-plus status, if that makes a difference.

Yes, make your regular reservation. You can use your points 5 days before check-in by calling spg directly.

I stayed at the Swan last July and truly loved the resort. It was a tad more intimate than the Dolphin and we had a great balcony room - a junior suite! that was was comp upgraded for us at check-in. We used the spg cash and points promotion for that stay. What an awesome deal!
