What time do you recommend getting to the front of the park in the morning in case of soft openings. Also, how often have they been letting non-passholders and off-site guests into WWoHP?

Thanks :cool1:

I was told to be there between 8am-9am. I'm personally leaving the house at 7:40am, hoping to arrive at the drop-off at 7:50 and be at IOA's gates by 8am.

I think they've done it like 6 or 7 days now. Tuesday wasn't a day they let people in because FJ wasn't working. So I think it's safe to assume that as long as FJ works, people will get in today. At least, I'm hoping for that since it's my first day of summer and I woke up early for this! ;)

I'm going to try to get over there early on Sunday in the hopes I can get in to take some pictures.

Yesterday when I spoke with a security person outside of the WWoHP, he said that if everything was working, they were going to let in the masses Thursday (today). I'm glad I went for the last 6 days, because it is a VERY small area, and very crowded with only hotel guests and HP package holders in there. But it was AWSOME! I am so greatful that we have been able to get in with only a limited number of people, even if it was only for 2.5 hours a day, (usually more like 3 hours). We went through everything everyday with plenty of time to spare. Just got back last night so I haven't read everything yet. But WE LOVED IT! They even let us in for breakfast at the Three Broomsticks without a reservation! I love Universal!:cheer2:

We did breakfast too without a reservation. The pumpkin juice was yummy!

Sounds like GP hasn't been let in, as of yet, today. When the ride isn't working properly, they don't let the GP in.

Twitter reports said no one but hotel guests being let in this morning. So far they have let in the GP all but three days (counting today) since they started soft openings. I've braved the masses three times; got there early twice and was one of the first at the turnstyles for opening. Yesterday went over after 9 and it was great because there was NO ONE at the turnstyles. No lines, just in and over to Potter.

HP was open to the public this afternoon. We rode FJ. Wait time was listed at 90 minutes but it only took 45. It was fantastic. Then we headed over to the Hog's Head for a butterbeer, and it was really good. Line to get a wand was halfway down the street. Staff would stop and ask you how you liked everything and if there was anything that needed to be improved.

A friend of mine says pumpkin fizz (pumpkin juice with soda water; only available at the Broomsticks) is even better than the juice. I disagree with her. /but pumpkin juice on tap is tastier than the pumpkin juice in the bottle.

I heard it was opened to the GP around 11:30 or so. I left the area around 11:20am since it really didn't seem hopeful. I really wish they would keep the people updated a bit as to what was going on. I did find out that it was open around 3PM from a nice employee I've befriended, but she had no way of contacting IOA to confirm that it was still open.

I'm going to try again sometime within the next few days. Hopefully I'll have better luck!
