I haven't left the house since Monday because of the ice storm. Today the kids started back to school (2 hr delay) and we were unable to make it out of our development. Very steep hill. In fact at one point I had my foot on the brake and we just kept sliding down the hill. The kids enjoyed it. My older son said it felt like the backwards part of Everest.

I am in Elizabeth City..it's on the coast. We didn't get snow this week just a little freezing rain. We had a 2 hour delay for 2 days but it was all clear today. I LOVE 2 hour delays!

Sorry you are still snowed in.

I'm on the Chapel Hill side of Durham. The road out of our nieghborhood wasn't bad this morning...but was not great yesterday morning. All the other roads we have to traverse are dry at this point. Got the kids to school at 7:30 just fine.
