Sharky -- so sorry to hear about Trent's illness.

I know my mom's doc said that something was definitely going around in PA (however, she picked it up somewhere between FL and VA). She ended up going back to the doc since she was not able to keep anything down/in and it was going on 7 days. So they were going to run some more tests.

I'm waiting to hear the results.

Marshay, I will say a prayer for her.

Will do that for sure Carla!!! We went to the Belz Outlets and were in there about 10 minutes when the power went out and they had to chase everyone out!!! We made it into the Black and Decker store but didn't get to see much else! OH well, next time!

Maybe last time they didn't have a Disney Outlet in there, it may be new!!!

Good morning all

Called out of work again today


fell asleep about 2am..up at 5am as trent was coughing . So covered him up and gave him some water and went back to bed

Woke up again a few mins after 7



I decided to just stay up

an exhausted

Made a litttle progress with trent

About 8:15 Trent woke up and smiled.

Got him to watcch a full episode of Spongebob, so he was awake for a full 30 mins

Took him to bathroom and gave him a decent amt of water.

He went back to sleep...


He has a bad cough though.

Around 1 or 2 after Steve wakes up(worked last night), going to take him to Well clinic at Walgreens.

Hopefully we can get some meds to get him better

Oh gosh. Keep us up to date okay. Poor Trent.

That guy doesn't deserve to ever be on a roof again, I bet he doesn't even have a license! I can't wait to hear how the lawyer takes him down! Dont' kick yourself, you can't go back and you diodn't know, why would you have ever dreamed that something like that would happen.

yeah...he doesn't. But he does have a license. I'm sure he has to, and insurance. We spoke to a lady around the corner who had her roof done by his crew and she said he did a great job and had no problems. She also had said her insurance actually RECOMMENDED him!!

We had gotten his number from seeing him at their house in the first place so we figured we'd go talk to them and find out if they had issues, but they didn't.

You poor thing, I can't believe another glitch! Yes if you had time you could have checked out the shingles, saw they were wrong, sent them back and got the right ones. Now because of those idiots tearing off shingles you are stuck to do it ASAP! Definitely tell the lawyer that! Those contractors (the scammers) should have to pay for doing the other part of the roof to match now.

well actually...we HATE it. We hate it SO MUCH. It's SO different. It has a FLAT look to it instead of the overlapping look (that's the only way I know how to describe it) These don't look architectural to me. But the package says they are....they are just a different TYPE of architectural. I always thought architectural shingles all had that overlapping look to them.

We are going to re-do the main house (that we JUST got done) over again the right way instead of doing the rest of the house with the new ones. (The back part of the house was only done a couple years ago just after we added that piece on....also it was done by my Dad and Mike so we KNOW it was done really well!)

Based on my own "dining room furniture debacle", I will assume that both parties will settle and the contractor will be out doing it to someone else again.

Cheri needs to also take it to the local media's consumer watch division!! Let them do an expose on the guy ...

Hey Everyone, I texted OrangeBlossom and got a text back saying she's been busy with dance rehearsals and all and says she misses us too! Hopefully the end of the school year will give her a little more time and she'll be back!!!

She said they will be extremely busy the next few weeks as Shannon was finally approved for home dialysis and they will be in training.


She had a stomach bug last week and not Tyler has one.

since a lot of are having crappy weeks here is mine

Trent came home from school Monday. Was fine. Acted Normal

He woke up Tues morning at 9am and had to go to bathroom. Again all normal

Then he got in the bathroom and it happened....VIRUS


a bit of Diarrhea..(sorry for TMI)


Then began day of vomiting. He was awake most of the day...but vomiting after each thing he drank or ate.

Around 9, he fell asleep and sleeping ws only way he keeping things down.

SO now day, 2...still sleeping.

Got him up earlier to go to bathroom and he peed a lot, so that is good.

Been giving him water about every 15 mins

Got him to eat about 3 bites of pancake earlier and one cracker

Recently, got him to take about 5 bites of banana so far

and keep giving him water


He has opened his eyes and pointed to his drink if he was thirsty..But he is still asleep


Willl not get up..

Looks like he has a bad stomach virus....it normally last about 48 hrs, plus 2 days of recovery...so guess he out rest of week at school

Suck as he missed Luau on Tues.. Now he is missing Fun Day on Thursday. This week is all review for what they learned the year



Then to top that off

Went down to get laundry and freaking water on the ground.

Thought it was raining, as once in a while we get bit of water


Nope

Freaking kitchen pipes have begun to rot and one has a HUGE hole in it


But Steve made me feel a bit better about that as he can fix it himself and will cost under 100 Thank god.

But No sink or dishwasher til this weekend as steve is working until Friday.

YAY ME

Jeez, I always hated that! I'm sure my husband enjoyed how big those suckers were, but he couldn't touch them or else he'd get squirted. Now how's that for TMI?

Girl, I'd say totally send her! She will probably be sad at first, but she'll be having a good time and it will be over before she knows it. As an added bonus, she'll get to bond even more with her grandparents AND you'll get somewhat of a break.

She's gonna have to be away from you soon for school anyway. It will probably be a good experience and she might not get those sad feelings when she does go to school and has to be away from you. She will have one up on the other kids.

Well no cavities is good news. I didn't have any either until I had Kyleigh. She sapped everything out of me and I ended up getting fillings after I had her.

Around here people don't know what good oral hygiene is. You'll have to come to my town sometime and we'll play "count the teeth." Good for you for taking care of your teeth!

Actually, they all walked pretty early. Unfortunately, their fascination with the bathroom meant I had to lock the door from the inside to keep them from playing in the toilet. For the longest time, we were unlocking the door with a paperclip.

YES!!! As long as everything stays on track, we'll be leaving next Friday after I get home from work. Then staying at my sister's friday night. It will be late until we get there cuase I know nothing will be ready when I get home. I havew to remember to start packing next week so I'm not so far behind come friday. I'm such a procrastinator when it comes to that kind of thing.

I still don't know if we're taking my car (no air conditioning, but good on gas) or Joe's car (AC but has 111,000 miles on it and a sucky CD player). Which would you suggest???

Well since we're posting sucky weeks, here's mine. As you all know I got bronchitis as soon as I got to NJ to visit Kelly, Trent & the rest of the family. Well it just won't go away and I can't break up the dry mass of congestion in my chest. I called for a prescription and no one ever called me back so I went to call again today and come to find out they called my prescriptions in two days ago. I have to go 18 miles to any store and I was down there two days ago so I had to make another 36 mile round trip to get my prescriptions. I know, that is minor crap, just had to start with my first sucky thing! LOL!

We had a horrendous storm tonight. First time ever I was literally so scared when a storm broke out. There were tornado warnings or watches, whichever is less severe here in our part of the Parish and severe storm warnings. Well it came and it came hard and fast, there was constant lightning and thunder at the same time, so you knew the storm was right over us. Bryan had gone to the dumpster and saw lightning strike a tree right in front of him, said he never saw anything like it. Well I went out of my way to light candles in every room, turn off the TVs and and was waiting out the storm. I heard such long long sounds of rolling thunder and weird sounding thunder that I really thought it was a tornado and was about ready to cry and head with the dog to the bathroom to get in the tub!

After the storm, Bryan was able to get out of the truck (he was waiting the rest of it out in the driveway as it was coming down in sheets) and he wanted coffee so he went to turn on the coffee maker, which we just got about 2 months ago, and it won't work, it burned out from the storm, we had a few surges during the storm. Pain but not overly bad as coffee makers aren't that terribly expensive.

Well I just went into the bedroom to get PJs and get ready for a shower and was watching a show in the family room so wanted to see the end while I was getting ready for my shower and I go to turn on the TV, which is only a year old, TV/DVD combo and guess what, the storm took that out too! I couldn't believe it, nothing was on, but they were plugged in so I guess power surges can kill something even when it is not on.

I am not going to be able to sleep tonight as I have to have the TV on to fall asleep.

I know its not nearly as bad as Cheri's problems with the roof and car and Kelly's pipes in the kitchen, and...certainly not as serious as my Trent being sick but it sure sucked to find out that those things were blown out by the storm.

Let's all go to bed and get up next week and hope that its going to be better!

lol - 3 weeks and counting - but my real countdown is til the bachelorette party which is in 9 days! After that, it should be -hopefully, smooth sailing!! but Anna and I have worked things out when we sat down to chat - we'll be going out tomorrow night just for some drinks to have fun and kinda let all the stress go..but thanks for asking!

Actually, I'm the only one bothered by having the windows down. I hate getting my hair messed up. I work really hard to get it straight and then it gets blown all to heck. We did the no AC thing in Florida before and we survived. But it kind of sucked driving through that hurrican in NC with no AC and the windows down.

What is up with you all sleeping with the TV on? I can't do that at all. I have my air purifier running while I sleep. If I had the light and the noise from the TV, there is no way I'd get any rest.


Oh, I didn't think of things flying out! I believe we've lost quite a few things that way. Joe's car also has a bigger trunk than mine. And since I practically live in my car during the week, it is kind of messy.

It will interrupt my sleep if it's on at night but I usually have the TV on with the sleep timer set before I go to bed. We will set it for 20, 30, or 40 minutes depending on what we are watching and how tired we are. Sometimes I will get into a program and be more awake and off goes the TV with the timer--then I have to grab the remote and turn it back on. I liked my old TV when I was a teenager living at home still---its timer would give you a warning when it was about to turn off. That way if I was still awake I could just turn the sleep timer to a higher amount of time again. And here I have a freaking brand new flat screen TV and it doesn't even warn me when it's about to turn off.

Sometimes technology doesn't make sense.

I didn't know you had talent! I wish I did, I would love to play the piano. I can pick out some tunes that I self taught myself but can't read a note of music.

Hey, I hit 6000 posts!

I probably could pick up reading music again. I actually used to enjoy playing instruments. We played a bunch of Disney songs in orchestra in high school. I was first chair clarinet back then, so I guess I was doing something right. Playing Disney songs was a lot of fun.

Then we'd have to play these horrible songs too. I can remember playing "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. When I was a drummer, we would get into so much trouble because we would play "Wipeout" when we weren't supposed to. Come to think of it, I was in trouble a LOT when I was in the band. That's the only class I ever got into trouble in. Believe it or not, I never had to sit in a detention in my life.

I never played any instruments. Except my voice. I sang in the choir in Junior High (or middle school if you'd rather call it that)

drumming sounds like so much fun though!

I freakin hate this old laptop.I have so much trouble with the keyboard, it skips around and suddenly highlights text and then disappears. I had a long reply typed and suddenly it went blank and I had to start all over

oh I have that problem with my laptop too...only I think it's because I accidentally touch the mousepad thingie (what do you call that?) when I am typing. It hasn't happened as much lately--maybe I'm getting better?

Good morning everyone! Today is my "Friday" and it's jeans day so I'm having a pretty good day so far. Despite the fact that my roof is completely different than the back part of the house and it's ugly. But at least it's not bare.

For breakfast today was a donut...and now someone brought me a chicken biscuit from Chick Fil A! I feel like such a pig...

oh I forgot to say that we get to wear jeans to work every Thursday this summer! Just can't wear tennis shoes like we do on Fridays with our jeans.

I say No A/C car. With gas prices they way they are right now I would want to pay to fill up a gas guzzler. That's why we took my little civic to Orlando on Memorial weekend
