I am not able to hold a snorkel or anything in my mouth. Our SCUBA instructor friend, Van, thought of a way to make an adapted system so I could snorkel, using a 13 cubic foot SCUBA tank and a full-face SCUBA mask.

I was hoping to try snorkeling at Castaway Cay, but the SCUBA tank was prohibited by the cruise line. Since the cruise line would not let the adapted snorkeling system on the boat, due to the use of a tank, Van and my Dad took me snorkeling at Smith Mountain Lake instead.

This DIS Hydroflask does appear in the video:

That was awesome, Skip.

I think you found Nemo in that lake. :rotfl2:

That was awesome to see! I've always wanted to scuba dive but am a little afraid of the experience!

I love how in the beginning of the video the dogs were milling around, trying to figure out what was going on!

Hey Skip!

Love the Video!

Did the Hydro-Flask stay cool? :thumbsup2

Simply amazing Skip!! Just goes to show, let nothing stop you from doing what you want to do!!

Skip - that is very cool! Does it work with a standard Scuba tank? Maybe you could bring the adapted mask and rent a tank on CC on your next trip.

Yes, it does work with s standard SCUBA tank. However, they do not rent tanks on Castaway Cay.

We are going to see if Disney will let me use this to do EPCOT's "Seas Aqua Tour."

Epcot Seas Aqua Tour: Time to slip on your swimsuit and slip into the waters of the Living Seas. Your tour begins with a fascinating behind the scenes look at the aquarium. The grand finale is a half hour spent in the water with the inhabitants of this amazing facility. Your tour includes a group photo, refreshments, all of your gear and a T-shirt. PLEASE NOTE: Bathing suits are required. Wetsuits are provided and must be worn. Lockers are provided. Scuba certification is not needed. The water temperature will be in the mid-70s. No cameras/videotaping allowed. Other members of your party may be able to photograph you from inside the exhibit. (Park Admission will be required.) Jewelry is not permitted and expectant mothers cannot participate.

I didn't know that about Castaway Cay. I'm sorry! Maybe one of the other ports will be more accommodating!

The Seas Aqua Tour sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for the heads-up! I hope they let you do it!!
