Okay, I admit - I have only flown once in the past 12 years (and that was after 9/11 but prior to the 3-ounce-bottle-in-your-carryon regs). We are usually vacation drivers, not flyers. Anyway, it's a little too time consuming to drive from Texas to WDW, so we are flying on June 3 from DFW on American. For the first time, I have purchased airfare using Expedia. Can anyone familiar with the American terminal at DFW tell me where and what I need to do with my Expedia print-out? We will have luggage to be checked, so do I just go on up to the regular counter? Thanks for helping out. Kellie-in-Texas

You should just be able to present your Expedia paper work at the check-in counter or at a curbside check-in location. You also can use the self-service kiosks inside using your name or the American record locator, which is a six-letter code.

Be very careful with EXPEDIA. They are having bad reputation l.ately. Read daily complaints

American at DFW does curb side check-in. It will cost you $2/bag if you want to use it. If not, ther is the self check-in kosck(sp?) upstairs where you can do it for nothing. You'll get your boarding passes at either place. On Americans web site, there is a spot on the first page that you can enter your flight #, and it will tell you what terminal it is planned to leave from for the next day, but to make sure call them the night before and confirm it along with your res's. The new Skyway that links all of the DFW terminals is great if you need to move between terminals. American's private train that was on the lower level has been discontinued in favor of the new Skyway train. Make sure you get there at least 2 hours early so you can make it through security. I've found that people tend to go to the security gate real near where they check in at there. When this happens, I'll walk down to the next security gate and find usually there's not near as many people.

Have a great trip!!
