With the way things are in the world these days, it's pretty easy to get down. To doubt the kindness of strangers. To say that there's no one left who cares about anything or anybody.
I COULD say that...that is until I got a PM from Aprincessmom.
A while back Jeanne (aka APrincessmom) PMed me and said that she was going to the Yankee Candle Outlet and as part of her hotel package would be able to get some YC Tarts free. Would I like them? Well, who am I to turn down a Yankee Tart? I live for them (who doesn't).
Seems simple enough, doesn't it?
But then Jeanne's trip got cut short due to weather so she couldn't get to the outlet. No big deal right? I'd understand. But Jeanne didn't let that stop her. She managed to get a friend who works for the YC to get the tarts for her and have them mailed to me.
Going above and beyond. Way above and beyond, don't you think?
Well, yesterday I got the package that Jeanne sent out. It was a rather large box. Too large for a few tarts. That's because the box was FILLED with tarts, 3 sachets and a container of tea lights! I mean it was a BIG BOX (ok, maybe not as big as a box that a refrigerator might come in!
Or even a microwave oven! But it was still BIG especially when you think about how small tarts are). When I opened this incredibly scented box, all I could say was "OMG!" over and over again! And inside was also a little HAND STAMPED note from Jeanne (now I've let the cat out of the bag that not only is she a sweetie, but she's artistically gifted as well).
Talk about the kindness of strangers... I hadn't felt so good in...well... a LONG time.
So to Jeanne, the biggest of big THANK YOUs that I can give (which still isn't enough).
And to the rest of you, I just want you to know what a special, special person Jeanne/Aprincessmom is.
AND, I want you to know how special you all are. If it weren't for all of you guys and this board, none of this would have happened.
So a big {HUG} to you all.
Now everyone go out and burn a Yankee candle or tart!
