For Disney restaurants, is it better to say you have a wheelchair guest for ressies?

I was just curious, if this makes a difference or not. Would you get a seat closer to the door; so, you wouldn't have to go into the restaurant as much, if you book your ressies with specifying a wheelchair guest?

The only place it really matters is the few restaurants with stairs/different levels (like Cinderella's Royal Table).
For most of the restaurants, it doesn't make all that much difference. We always mention it when we check in for our reservation. The person assigning tables at the time you come is the one who needs to know most.

I always tell them that I am in a wheelchair when making my reservation, not because it makes much difference to me, except in the very few restaurants that have steps to a part of a restaurant, or booth seating, but so they can seat me where other guests and servers can get past me easily.

I always mention that we have a wheelchair user when I make ADRs and they always note it. It has saved us ever having any problems with access to tables.

I have never told them I was in a wheelchair when making PS and haven't ever had a problem. It has never occurred to me to do so.

The tables are assigned after you check in for your ADR, so whether you told them or not when making the ADR, it's important to tell them when you check in for it.

We always tell them that there is a wheelchair when we make a PS and again when we check-in. Although at Boma's I checked in (spouse had run to the restroom), and then when they came to seat us the hostess was extremely upset that I hadn't mentioned I was in wheelchair when I checked in. Silly me! I thought my being in the wheelchair when I checked in was as good as telling them

The only other hassle was at Cape May seafood buffet, as they wished to seat me a significant distance from the buffet (after we had told them we would wait for a closer table). I prefer to wheel myself to buffets as I like to eat at the same time as my spouse and if he is pushing me for my selections we tend to eat in "shifts." They were extremely unpleasant to deal with and the buffet is difficult for me to manage on my own. So, we no longer go there and that is fine as there are lots and lots of other restaurants!

You would think they would notice that.
I think that was probably a situation of someone looking, but not seeing.

my ds is 7 and in a wheelchair, and i also have a 4 month old in a stroller. when i called up to make all my priority seating they told me i have to tell them about the wheelchair as well as the stroller. i am not sure if it makes a difference but it couldn't hurt right. this might sound bad but it just might get you a better seat, might as well right.

First of all the on topic bit...

The only time I've mentioned it is when making reservations for the Ploy Luau or the Hoop De Do Revue because I believe seating for these is arranged before you check in at the podium. Otherwise I don't mention it because they won't know what tables are avaiable till you get there and they won't hold a table for you just based on your reservation.

Is there a way for a person in a scooter to access CRT? We will have my DM along and she requires a scooter, but we also intended to try CRT because my DS has never had a meal there.

Yes, there is an elevator which goes from the ground floor to the restuarant. An ECV will fit in the elevator. However, she is better off parking it outside as there is almost no room upstairs for maeuvering an ECV. Also note that restroom access is only via stairs.

The floor also has 2 levels; the lower level is down a step or two from the upper. The elevator delivers you to the upper level. The restroom is sort of inbetween the top and ground floor. It's sort of on a landing.
