have the PFC and take off/landing taxes changed.....


it looks like they are 4.50 for some airports now....(eg atlanta) ....and the take off/landing is now 3.00 up from 2.50 or so....

was this a planned increase or is it reaction to increased security costs....????

from what I remember of the memos its been in the planning stages and now they are actually implementing it.

This increase is a result of the Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act , Public Law 106-181, signed by the President on April 5, 2000. The new legislation, AIR 21, as it is commonly called, modifies the current Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program. This law permits an increase in the charge from $3 to either $4 or $4.50.
