Hope someone can help me. I'm in my second week of induction and doing great. Just want to understand something. I went to Ruby Tuesday's last night and had the Petite Sirloin which they says has 13 grams of carbs. The Atkins book says 6 oz. of beef has NO carbs. The steak was pretty small (a little smaller than a CD maybe) so could they be counting what it was cooked in? I just trying to figure out how you get from zero to 13. Thanks so much!

You can go to Ruby-tuesday.com and click the smart menu, then low carb menu.

When I clicked on steak, at the bottom of the page it says that for the steaks they have added the two sides of broc. and mashed cauliflower. The caul. alone is 11 grams.

When I ordered at Ruby's I just asked for double broc., and then I only had around 3 net carbs.

Hope that helps. :sunny:

You're right, DVCTiff, the steak itself will never have any carbs (unless it's marinated in teriyaki sauce, or crusted with lots of spices). Like Mom said, they were counting the side dishes.

Oh man, so I can stop eating the wraps at RT's? I didn't realize that when the steak said that many carbs, they were including the califlower. I think we'll be going to RT's real soon. Thanks for the info.

Brilliant! Thanks for all the great info! That makes so much more sense. Guess it pays to read the fine print.
