I just tried to post it and it didn't work:(

What kind of airfare prices did you get and how far in advance did you purchase them???

well, we are in TN and we paid $39 each way on southwest. I bought them 2 months out and then changed them in for cheaper fares 3 times when they reduced.

You might get some more useful answers if you mentioned where you were flying from. If from the EMA/RI area, expect to pay about $150-200.

We flew from Syracuse for $178. That price was available about 3 weeks in advance (beginning of August) when we changed our flight times - Delta.

We're in NH also. We flew from MHT to MCO 8/25-8/29 for $115 r/t. I believe I purchased the tickets in June at a higher rate (I think around $145), at some point I reduced the $$ after receiving a Ding.

Thanks, it sounds like I'd have better luck with Southwest. I currently have a miles account with US Airways and usually use them...but we need to do it as cheap as possible next year!

From Buffalo on southwest: $115 RT (all taxes, etc included) for direct flights. Bought them in mid july I believe

we originally paid $137 on swa... but fares kept going lower and we ended up w/$49 round trip thanks to DING! gotta credit that we're using in january :)

We got the $49 each way for our trip--BWI to MCO. We ended up with enough of a credit to almost fly for free in January. Love SWA!

I flew the first week of September and got $98 RT PVD-MCO on Southwest. Flew last week and got $80.00 RT on Southwest.

I have tickets for Wed Nov 23 with a return on Sat Nov 26 for 198 RT on Song MCO-BOS, DW is going down to help DS prepare to come home leaving Sun Nov 20 return Wed Nov 23 for 189 RT BOS-MCO on Song.

Most of these tickets were 1-2 months in advance, the Thanksgiving flights were booked Monday night.

Download DING and subscribe to all of your preferred airlines newsletters. My $40.00 SW tickets were internet specials from a RR email. I was able to rebook at a $18.00 savings per ticket (3 Tickets).

We flew for $49/each way (before taxes/fees) from Buffalo to MCO. We bought the tickets mid July for our trip the last week of August.
