For anyone going to Southern Cal, go to the El Capitan

We saw Atlantis on 6/15 at The El Capitan. This was a hightlight of our trip and I definitely recommend it to anyone planning a Southern California trip. We had purchased VIP tickets in the first row of the balcony (great unobstructed seats with drink and popcorn and no waiting in line.) The screen and sound at this theatre are so good it would make Ishtar look like Academy Award material. The kids really enjoyed the organ beforehand and The Atlantis Experience next door was awesome (Disney does a great job of controlling the crowds in that place.) It was also right across the street from Mann's so we were able to put our feet and hands in the prints of all those famous stars. My wife enjoyed this experience so much, she wants to take the girls back to see The Princess Diaries and attend the tea which follows (airline tickets might make that prohibitive though.)

Sherry, the El Capitan is in Hollywood, and it is a considerable distance from Disneyland...about 40 miles. With traffic it could easily take over an hour each way to get there.

But it does sound like fun! :D

Thanks so much for letting me know! I'm very anal about putting the information into the correct places. I have a file for Disneyland and for places to see not at Disneyland.
