? for all you experts code vs. APrate for spring break

What are my chances of getting a reservation at Deluxe (WL or CR) if I wait till around 9AM EDT tomorrow to call? I have to get my girls to school. I was on the phone with CR for 65 mnutes the day that BAT came out and was almost late getting them there. Plus, I'd rather DH and kids not know I'm doing this. WE just got back last Sunday and I'm planning this for April 1-5 or 6th. From the poll post this doesn't seem as busy as later in April. I'm hoping for a decent rate, and then plan to change to an AP rate when those become available. Will they let me do that? I guess Poly and AKL and also options though I don't know if I want to pop for the Poly again this quick. But if the price is tolerable now what are the chances of the AP rate being fantastic. I guess what i'm asking is which Deluxe should I go with now in order to reap the largest benefit from the AP discount?

Well, I got WL CV for $198 +tax for April 1-5. I guess I'll wait and see if the AP code will give me an additional rate. That $198 is almost $200 per night less than the rack rate I was quoted on Monday for the ssame room. I just saved more than I'm paying for my total!

I got right thru this morning at 8:15 eastern time for my April 1-8 trip. I'm staying at POFQ at $114/night, not to bad for Peak season.

I agree, plus the CM told me to check back when the AP codes come out, " you never know" is how she put it.

CM tells me no AP rates after 2/16/05, but good deals prior to that. I expect we'll be waiting until after Chrustmas for the March-May AP rates tho. I got quotes over MLK weekend (January) for AKL and Poly (the two we would be interested in this time). Here are the rates:
Poly: Concierge $420; Lagoon view: 310; Garden view: 214
AKL: Concierge $345; Deluxe Savannah view: $250; standard Savannah view: $151

This is using code EWV.

It would be nice, but not likely that they would have AP discounts during most school vacations or Easter break. I have a ressie for mid-April (Mass & ME spring break) which I am hoping to replace with an AP rate, but I have AAA for now. Now I'll go check www.mousesavers.com for the full list of AP rates.

OK, so after checking Mousesavers, I called back with the BDP code (available to the General Public and good thru 4/16, which happens to be our check-out date), and nailed really good rates!
AKL: Deluxe Savannah view: $317; Standard Savannah view: $206!

I didn't check the Poly, but I expect this discount would be harder to come by there. Good thing AKL is our fav' resort ever!

That's great pumpkinboy! Wow that's an awesome price for the Poly, but we were just there 2 weeks ago, can't justify another trip THAT soon...........
