Saw this in a magazine, interesting.

Americans hold estimated $10.5 billion in spare change. The coins could buy 40,000 average priced new houses.

Funny... I just took my spare change to one of those coin machines and came out with $200. Not quite $10.5 billion, but not bad

We always save our spare change to buy APs with. Since we need to buy them every other year, that means we save about $800 in change in that time. I have a big plastic Coke bottle coin jug that holds about $1000 in change.

We use our spare change to pay for our parking and some of our groceries each week.

It always amazes me how much it adds up. We cash it in once or twice a month, but imagine if we went longer than that!

I never really think of it till we start wrapping it up, well really I do, unless the ds want to participate, we always give it to a missions project, nice to know our change is helping a pastor in india ride a bike to villages, bricks for a school in mexico and india, bunkbeds for a cabin for underpriviledged city kids at camp, etc. We do it twice a year at least. I do save a few quarters for lunch money etc.

We save all our spare change for our Disney trips. Last month we had about $900! All ready have about $150 for next years trip!

We're saving our spare change for Disney. Last year we only did it for about a month and had $150 so we can't wait to see what we have with a year to save. I think it's great because you never miss it and all of a sudden you have a nice lump sum.

I have about 2 inches of change covering the bottom of one of those Absophure water bottles. The water bottle is from a water cooler.

I am dying to know how much is in there. It is HEAVY. Our trip is not for quite a while yet. I am so curious though!!
