For all of you worried that Happily Ever After won't be a good replacement for Wishes

We were inside Ohana tonight and watched it again. The music was piped in and I definitely got the "feels" again! Lol!
The colors of the fireworks are really pretty. There was a small amount of applause in the restaurant when it was over.

I don't know @Accident, I was in the hub (Plaza Garden East) Saturday night and had a great view of low altitude and high altitude fireworks alike even with it being more humid and the smoke lingering a touch. If you were behind the castle in the smoke in my pic below, no wonder you couldn't see! You were sort of ground zero for smoke and fall out back there on this particular night.

thanks for that, it wasn't that great of filming I was finding for day 2.

I think that some might be seeing this as too black and white. I believe that Disney offerings should be for children of all ages and not just for young people. The characters can be combined.

Also, the concepts of Wishes and Happily Ever After can co-exist. Sure, you should go out and make your tomorrow happen. However including a few wishes with that is just fine imo.

Wishing upon a star is literally part of HEA. The first segment where you see a single firework work from right to left and "land" at the top of Cinderella castle and Tiana singing "the evening star shines bright, so make a Wish and hold on tight..."
And tons of classic characters are there but the show is so detailed that it will take repeat watching to see them. Don't forget to look at the structures adjacent to the castle as well, especially in the last part.

You said something I was thinking but couldn't put my finger on it I think the projection PLUS the fireworks is a lot to take in visually at the same time. Before, the projection show was first and you could let your eyes settle on it, then focus on the fireworks with the simply lit castle. Now it's like everything is going on at the same time. I think it's what gave it a scattered feeling to me

I saw HEA twice (5/13, 5/14). The first time I saw it my DH and I stood on Main Street in front of Starbucks. I was able to see most of the projections on the castle but my DH couldn't because he had a tall person in front of him. The fireworks were fantastic. The second night I saw HEA my DH and I were very close to the castle. I found it harder to watch the projections and the fireworks at the same time being this close. I watched the fireworks and the would briefly look at the castle. I enjoyed it less the second night. The next time I go to see HEA I will definitely watch it from Main Street. I liked most of the music but there was one song I really didn't care for. My DH wasn't a fan of HEA. I agree with you that it was difficult to focus on both the castle and the fireworks and there was too much going on at the same time. I loved Wishes and during our trips would go to see it 4 or 5 times. While I will definitely go to see HEA again, it won't be 4 to 5 times like I did with Wishes.

And I don't understand how you can like it when it seems to me a bunch of characters projected onto the castle. I don't see what you see that they have dug down and found their happily ever after when it just showed pictures to me. But we all have different opinions. Like another poster said if message boards were around in 1993 to the extent they are now I am sure there were people annoyed when Wishes debuted.

I 100% respect your opinion.

Just a heads up that the hub is getting packed so early that disney has moved the move it shake it dance party to 7 instead of 7:45. so far only for the next week. The 5:30 show also moved earlier.

• This show is too different from Wishes to compare. The only similarity is that it takes place at MK at the end of each day.
• We were in the Hub neat the Walt/Mickey statue. Great view of the castle projections, but impossible to take in the entire show from that close.
• The music is not going to make everyone happy. With so many different musical styles in such a short program, it seemed disjointed.
• The fireworks were great, just hard to watch them and the castle projections at the same time.
• The castle projection show is on par with the Star Wars projection show. But you have to be close to really appreciate it unless you have great vision.
  
• Love the laser lights timed with the rest of the show.
• Tink did not fly last night, which was a slight disappointment.
• Finally, they need to cancel the other castle projection show. It made it impossible to leave the Hub after HEA.

Yes, I was disappointed Tinkerbell didn't fly last night either. Is she written out of the show for good? IMHO the new show is impressive but I prefer Wishes. Yes, I was disappointed Tinkerbell didn't fly last night either. Is she written out of the show for good? IMHO the new show is impressive but I prefer Wishes. It had one theme and married the fireworks,music, and castle projections perfectly. This show seems to have too many things going on at once and truthfully I started to lose interest.

Last night they must have had tech issues. She is supposed to be part of the show.

Tink flies during the second to last segment if I'm not mistaken. Altough she doesn't always fly based on weather, etc (was the same with Wishes). I will admit I almost missed her on Saturday night even though it was right in front of me. Lots going on visually at that moment and I just wasn't expecting her at that late point in the show. Brain was so used to seeing her right in the beginning!

I expect this to happen but once it does it'll be more of a nightmare to leave MK for the night.
With OUAT being there after HEA some people choose to stay while others start t o leave. When HEA is the only show, everyone will leave right after, even if the park is open for 2 more hours

easy music queue to look for her, when you hear "you can fly, you can fly, you can fly" from Peter Pan. She closes the show now and I think that's much cooler than opening the show

We saw her fly both times we watched it this week. She was visible from Ohana too, although just as a flying light from that far away.
I found myself looking for her at the beginning too, but as mentioned... it's easy to remember to look for her when you hear the music queue.

I like the projection only show being after.. a lot more people leave, the other way around it was much longer you had to stay around if you didn't want the projection show. It's a pain to get out and I'm rather confused why they don't use the bypass or make you go through emporium instead of using that sides lot as well but it's worse when everyone fills the hub even earlier and I think it's better for parents and their kids to be able to leave after fireworks instead of try to sort out how to stay later and then you have kids taking more room on the transportation because they can't stay awake to get back.

Now they do need to space them further apart so there is 20-30 minutes for some to leave before the next crowd comes in.

UGH. Our party of ten will be there this summer with three strollers. I just can't imagine trying to navigate our way out through the mayhem. That said, is the view from the beginning of Main St. acceptable? I know this location would not be great for seeing the projections, but would it provide a decent view of the fireworks?

Of the fireworks? Absolutely. But remember that the story is told on the castle, by projections. I am not sure how happy I would be just watching the fireworks if I had never seen the projections.
