Well I finally uploaded my first video on Youtube.:cool1:

For some reason I have this strange fascination with the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Don't ask me why but it's one of my favorite rides in the park. This video is not quite Bawb quality but hopefully you will enjoy it;)

Was hoping to try this in the summer. But it is closed for SM return.
Thank for video :)

I was a bit disapointed myself that it would be closed but I don't think we will make it to the world this year so it wan't affect me that much. I am bummed for those that are going::sad:

Our family loves it as well. It's a great attraction for a 10 to 15 minute rest and usually has a very short wait time.

Dont quote me on this, but I heard that in order to soften the blow of missing space mountain and TTA over the summer they are going to install a "virtual" TTA ride that will almost identically mimic the real ride.

Should be GREAT!!!:thumbsup2

Yup, I could ride THAT all day, too!

Is it weird i'm gonna miss TTA more than Space Mountain?? I mean I like Space Mountain, but TTA just reminds me of hot summer days, and wanting a nice sit down.

I love the tta, but I still call it the peoplemover. this was my little brothers favorite ride when we were kids. I still love it and I am bummed that it will be down for our Sept trip, perhaps it will be open at certain times if they can cover the constuction and have people safely travel in Space mtn, I can hope right! Great video on this VERY cold day here in NJ!:thumbsup2

Thanks! My 7 year old LOVED TTA last time we were there. I think we rode it about 10 times on our last trip!

I here ya. My car said -12 here in Detroit this morning.

-12 is toasty!! We got to -38 oF here last night :rotfl:

I'm so bummed about TTA and more so than I am for SM. And I love SM.

We call it the blue line and it is my autistic ds favorite ride. He only rides that, the tea cups and Kali. We are going for 8 days in July and I'm not sure what we are going to do. He will not understand that he can't ride it and it's all he talks about. I guess I'll be spending a lot of time on the tea cups.:crazy2:

What's it going to be like walking around Tomorrow Land and not hearing "Now approaching the carousel of progress!" And all of the other wonderful things it says. It's going to be so quiet there!

I'm right there with you. After I rode SM at Disneyland, I realized how much in need of a refurb the attraction was at MK. TTA, on the other hand, is a perfect place to chill out, relax, and people-watch.

If I remember the Disneyland version of TTA is a little different. I think it was a little faster in the beginning.
... was a little different - they closed it years ago to replace it with the failed Rocket Rods, which itself was closed due to maintenance issues. The tracks are still there, empty, sad to say.

The key difference between the DL PeopleMover and the MK TTA is that the PeopleMover was driven by rubber tires in the roadway while TTA uses linear induction motors. The tires (presumably from sponsor Goodyear) enabled the PeopleMover to handle inclines well, while the use of linear induction motors at TTA means the track must be essentially level throughout. The upside is that the TTA is very smooth and zippy. Here's a good web site about the DL Peoplemover: http://davelandweb.com/peoplemover
