For all of us going to the Fort in December....

We have Mickey holding a gift behind his back. He is cute. We had also brought our Santa inflatable.

I forgot we also bring our disney tree with us for the inside. Last year I purchase a little tree and put lights on it. When we got to the Fort and got settled off we went to buy ornaments for our tree. It was fun and I love our little tree.

Thought about the ones from Disney Florist but they are so high and the one the first year we went we really liked and I was going to get it but then we switched from Wilderness Lodge to the Fort once we got our rv and I just didn't think they could deliver it since it was something they put in the rooms. DUH! They could deliver to the front desk and have it waiting for us to pick up. Oh well. Saved us over $400. I am not really into the ones with the castle, tinkerbell etc. I wanted it to be more Christmasy (not sure that is a word:rotfl: ).

We're back in! We had canceled but now we're going again...27th-January 3rd! We'll be there for a couple of the days but we will be sleeping there every night. Only park on the agenda is Hollywood Studios and maybe MK for NYE. We're going to be spending our days in Lake County, clearing the land and getting ready to build...I'm excited! :woohoo:

Is there a GG after Christmas?

I'll have several strings of lights circling my canopy and lining my driveway, I'll have my Mickey Lamp Post with either a green or red light bulb in it, I've got a Mickey Santa inflatable, and I'll probably pick up the Mickey Santa banner. Also, if I find some cheap stick in the ground signs, I'll get a couple of those.

I have an 8ft polar bear in a blue sweater & stocking cap, THD has the 4ft variety which I'm going to purchase. I have red & green rope lights, icicle lights for the awning & a lot of other little crap. My DH wants to take the 12ft hearse inflatable we used for halloween & put a stocking cap on the skeleton driver....I said NO!!

we have 3 inflatables(all Disney) and a train( Mickey and Friends)..plus LOTS of lights and a small tree...looking for battery powered lights for the golf cart ...any ideas on where to find them??? we also have Mickey Window clings for the cart windows and 2 kinds of garland....my new daughter in law will be going with us and she has never been to Disney before...as well a friend going hasn't either...I'm getting excited!!!!! I think I'm going to skip bringing the lampost this time...

We are also so excited to go. My parents have also decided to come as well for the holidays and will be staying in a partial hook-up. We have requested the 100 or 200 loop. We leave on the 10th and are planning to be their by the 12th. We can hardly wait!:cool1:  :yay: :santa:

We got our battery powered strings of lights at Walmart last year. I saw them at Walgreens this year. Also at Michaels Craft store. I think they are getting more common. The LED ones look tiny, but they put out good light at night and don't use up much power. We are decorating our son's wheelchair wheels again this year. Connie

OH! I forgot to say we'll be at the Camping Cabins from Dec 21 to Dec 25!!! HOpe to see some friends there!

We'll be staying in a cabin this time around. Dec. 14th-17th.:cool1:

Soon time to start loading up the rv for Disney. :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Ok friends, my family is getting so excited, we head out from north east Texas just 2 weeks from friday, about 4:00 pm! It's been too long since our last Fort vacation at Christmas 2006. I have 3 small Disney inflatables, a Christmas tree for outside, lots of lites, and some special homemade lighted decorations for the trees at the campsite. Ya'll will have to come by for a visit and see whats up in the trees in the 1800 loop. I have a DC to AC converter and a 12 volt battery for the GC. This way i can use standard Christmas lights on the GC.

I've started loading the Christmas decorations, and am running out of room already! We leave 2 weeks from Friday too, but we need to be "down the driveway" by 7am or we won't make it for dinner in St Mary's GA. We arrive at the Fort the following Sunday, and will have our DIS Limey sign out. Stop by 500 loop and say howdy!

getting excited too!!!!!!! We still don't leave for a bit but the entire family is getting hyped...decorations are in the camper waiting to go!!!!! .....are we there YET?????

I can't wait. I have been having a sad time lately with the loss of our kitty so getting ready for the trip is giving me something positive to look forward to and work on.

We were just lamenting the other day about how we wont be at the fort this Christmas. We have been there 4 of the last 5 years (the only one we missed was 05 when my Dad passed and my Mom had to live with us due to illness)
This year I lost out because of shift changes that brought a higher seniority person to my shift and guess who got Christmas off ?
My kids and wife are seriously bummed at the prospect of staying in MI for the holiday as well as dreading having to be around some of my family during that time. Its just SOOOOOOOO much less stressful at the fort hanging out with people I like :thumbsup2

I wasn't planning on being at the fort for Christmas so all is well. No need to worry Scott. Maybe I'll join you next year. I was really hoping to meet you all this year. Hopefully next year will be lower fuel and more trips.

I paid $2.89 at the Hess by my house yesterday. I remember before gas went sky high earlier this year it had gone back down to $2.15. I never thought I'd see it that low again and then it drops under 2 bucks. I'm sure OPEC will find a way to sock it to us before the Christmas travel season and definately next summer I'm sure we'll see record highs again.
