Hi all,

I'm from the UK and never really heard of Crocs until I joined here!!!!! Could someone please explain what they are and if they're suitable for wearing in and out of the water at the waterparks, around themeparks etc? We're looking for something comfy and durable for our upcoming trip!

Cheers!

Barry

crocs = ugly!!! but from what i read on the boards they are very comfortable!!! i went to disney in march and so many people wore them.....ir was like croc city!!! i couldnt bring myself to buying them i wore my old broken in sketchers tennis shoes.... and my dd 15 wore her rubber old navy flip flops or her tennis shoes...... we were very comfortable...... vicki

I personally don't have any but DD does and if she wore her's in the water and the waterparks they would fall off. Don't know if DW just bought them big so she could grow into them but she can't keep them on her feet. If you were just going to where them to the park and then stow them in a locker when you went on the slides I think that would be ok. :sunny:

Although they are not attractive shoes, they are very very very comfortable. I always wear orthotics but I can walk all day in Crocs with no problem.

I recommend them but not to wear in and out of the water. They are loose fitting and can fall off on water park attractions.

Best shoes I've ever worn. I wear them all the time and not just at Disney. I have heel spurs and bad knees/hips, but these shoes have good arch support and let me walk 12 miles a day at Disney. They have a strap that goes behind your heel that can be pushed forward so the shoes are more like a clog, but I found that not using the strap led to blisters as my toes then needed to grip the shoe to keep it on.

There is a style that comes in Small, Medium, Large etc. and a style that comes in real shoe sizes. Some peoples feet are ok with one and not with the other. If you search this site, you will find lots of testimonials and a few folks who just don't like them.

They aren't really expensive and I would at least give them a try.

This is the UK website:

If you are looking for something to wear at the waterparks and in the water then I think you are looking for "Aquasocks" that is what someone here reccomended to me. You can buy them online. I have been looking for them locally but haven't found any yet.
If you are going in the summer you definately need them. We went in July and had nothing and the bare foot expierence was very painful. Your feet will be doing this :furious:

Target has "Aquasocks" for about $5.00 - they are fine for a day at the water park. If I remember they made us take them off before we went down the water slides but we held them and had no problems. You will need to wear something or your feet will not be happy.
