Footwear in DL- What do you wear?

Well, New Balance defintely seems to be the brand of choice here on the Dis. It's also the brand my DH swears by... so I buckled to peer pressure and bought a pair. Hated them! Maybe I just didn't get the right style for my feet though.

I'm sticking with my Asics. I walk 3-4 miles several times a week and I love them! And I'm gellin' too, because I get Gel Kayano's, so it's built right in. :thumbsup2

While getting recommendations can help narrow things down, I really think you have to go to the store and try on to find the shoe that works best for you and your feet.

Good Luck!

i like both new balance and asics. my last pair was asics. my current pair is new balance.

I am one of those who goes with Crocs. I bought my first pair (the Mary Jane style, with the holes) last year when planning for my trip and wore them a few times before, and they were okay. I brought a few different pairs of shoes with me when we finally went, wore crocs the first day, wore sandals the next day and got a yucky blister! After that, the Crocs were the only thing I could wear that didn't bug me. Plus, I don't have to worry about them getting wet, yay. So, I will be bringing them next time for sure, and maybe (sturdy) flip flops as well. My friend went with her Tevas, and they were great for her. :)

I just bought my new New Balance shoes today for DLR. I also tried on Asics which I know are really good shoes. These were the ones with gel in them. But after walking around I decided the NB felt better to me. You just have to pick what feels best for you. Also, all brands have different styles and one may not feel as good as another. I always seem to have trouble finding my size (6) so I was thrilled to find the only size 6 in the one I liked and they were on sale. :)

I wish I could try all these different shoes but the only thing I can wear is the keds tennis shoes. I have flat feet and anything with an arch kills me. Although a couple of years ago we went to WDW for 9 days and almost solely (no pun  ) wore flip flops. I was SOOO comfortable I couldn't believe it!

Crocs with socks.....yes, I am one of THOSE fashionista types. Here in the Pacific Northwest we wear socks with everything, that's just how we roll....:rotfl2: blush:

LOL. DH is MR. Socks & Sandals. He just about lives in them!

I purchased a pair of Reebok Walking shoes on sale for $30 at JCPenney last week. And got DH a new pair of Reeboks too. We will start wearing them next month to break them in.

I have arch supports to wear in my shoes. I had bunion surgery 7 years ago and flat feet. I must have my arch supports!!

DS will get a new pair of shoes this Friday - hopefull Merrell's. Crossing my fingers that we find some when we go to the mall in Olympia - our city has very limited shopping centers (if you can't find it at Walmart, good luck finding it!!).
