Football season -- Anyone else as excited as I am?!?!

Panthers fan here too! I am very ready for football season! We didn't make many off season moves to get excited about, but am looking forward to seeing some of the draft picks. Hoping Jake won't have any repeat performances of the playoff game

I agree with you 100%. Jake screwed up and I am sure he ruined his own birthday with all of those interceptions he threw that day. Yikes

Kinda off-topic, hope this is ok...
I've been thinking about this anyway. I used to looooove football season, loved the WVU Mountaineers but *especially* pro football and grew up as a Steelers fan (Remember "One for the thumb in '81"?), later liked the 'Skins (while still maintaining my Steeler allegiance and went to some games at RFK (including the day Joe Theisman broke his leg).

But now? I dunno, it makes me sad, but it's just not the same for me. I guess I have a problem with the players who break the law and are let back in the game, maybe I've lost my innocence in that regard, maybe pro football has always allowed men who've gotten in serious trouble with the law back in & I just didn't know about it.

I think it's great that folks have their Green Bay gear or they fly their Steeler's flag or Redskins flag on game-day (like one of my neighbors), they wear team jerseys when out and about but watching Sunday football is no longer the ritual it once was for me , but I'm glad others still like it so much .

I'm excited primarily because it means that summer is ending. I hate summer. Don't get me wrong-- I adore football and look forward to Sundays all season long, but it can be awfully hard to get excited about the Rams sometimes. Sigh.

It wouldn't be so bad, but it is football Thursday - Monday around here.

There is always some college game on Thursday night. Then a high school game to go to on Friday night, and watch whatever college came is on.

Spend all day Saturday - and I mean all day - watching college games.

Sunday - you guessed it: Watch pro football. And it is going, from one game to the other, during the afternoons.

And lord don't forget Monday Night Football.

So like I said......yea

Come back and ask me for my answer when College Basketball starts up - Yea Baby!!!!!

My DS has his first practice tonight and High School games will start up again soon.... I like small town football!

DS had his first practice on Saturday! LOVE HS FB!!!! He's a senior this year, so here's hoping it's a great season!
