I was thinking about getting Indianapolis Colts tickets for my inlaws as a Christmas gift. They like football and all. But the question is what game should I try to get tickets for? I would hate to get them tickets for a game and have the Colts playing a horrible team just to mop them up. Does that make sense?
Then where the best place to buy them??

Thanks!

Lol don't get tickets against Detriot. They have a very real chance to go 0-16. I would go with the game against the Titans. It is 3 days after Christmas but the Titans are undefeated as of now and leading their division which they share with the Colts. I would get them quick because those tickets will sell out fast. You can buy them from the colts website or a place like stubhub.com

Sounds like a great gift,I would recommend the Detroit game on 12/14.

OP said they did not want a blow out game. The Detroit Lions have yet to win a game this year. I don't think this is what the OP had in mind. lol

OnourwaytoWDW, I'm assuming this is going to be an early Christmas gift right, since all but one of the regular season games take place before Christmas? If that's the case, I would recommend the Nov. 16 game against the Houston Texans as that has playoff implications for both teams. Another possibility is the last game of the season against the Tennessee Titans on 12/28 (and that's actually after Christmas).

As for where to get the tickets, I will assume all tickets are sold out through the Colts website since it's the first year of a new stadium. Your best bet is probably stubhub.com It's sorta like ebay for tickets in that you are buying tickets from another person who has listed them on stubhub website. However, it's not an auction like ebay. I have sold and bought tickets on stubhub several times with no problems.

HTH!

Wow, that's a tough one, especially looking at the rest of their home games. I have to agree with the Titans game on 12/28 or the Texans in November. The Lions and Bengals are bad teams this year, the Lions have hope with Dante Culpepper being signed this past week but I don't expect too much from them. The Bengals won their first game this past week and have been struggling all season, especially after losing their QB.

Whichever you decide, I would get them now via Stubhub or Ticketmaster if the Colts go through them.

Good luck (and if you feel generous, I'm a huge Steelers fan and would love to see Heinz field! :jumping1: )

You'll have to get them off of Ebay or from a ticket broker as I think all seats are sold out via the Colts.

Their home schedule the rest of the year is bad except for the last game. They play Houston next weekend, but that might be a short turnaround. It should be a decent game however.

They then play Cincinnati on 12/7 (they suck) , the Lions on 12/14 (they suck even worse) and then TN on the 28th. That should be a good game, but TN tends to travel well, so tickets maybe harder to come by.

Well, if football is anything like baseball you could go on the Colts website and
see if they have gift cards. Decide what price seats you're willing to spring for
and get the card for that amount. Then they can get their own tickets using
the card for the game they want.

Again, they do this on the website of my MLB team, I don't know if they do
this for football. Good Luck and you are a good kid! :goodvibes

If you really loved them you would get them tickets to a good team...say the Patriots!! Just kidding

Seriously, you don't have many choices. If you are looking at home games, it's Texans, Bengals, Lions and Titans. My guess is the most competetive game they are likely to win is the Texans. Colts will kill the Lions/Bengals (unless they completely implode, which they seem likely to do this year for some reason) and the Titans will probably mop the floor with the Colts. Good luck!

If someone was buying that gift for me (replace "Colts" with "Bills") I can honestly say that it would not matter AT ALL who the opponent was.

Try Stub Hub. Really good for tickets.
Wow they have some bad home games.
Detroit might be a safer bet as they might be out of the playoff picture vs Titans.
