Hey guys!

A quick intro:

My name is Sandy (25), my husband's name is Joe (26) and we just got back from a wonderful stay at All Star Music.

We are total foodies and also creatures of habit (we love what we love, generally aren't open to new things. lol) but we hope you enjoy our report anyway. :)

Here's what we've got coming up. All have pictures except HOB:

ESPN Club
House of Blues (due to their photograph rules, we have no pics but still a review!)
Concourse Steakhouse (breakfast)
Chef Mickey's dinner
Hollywood and Vine
Kona
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Cosmic Ray's
The Yorkshire County Fish Shop (at Epcot)
Numerous counter service meals at All Star Music
Several trips to Goofy's Candy Co
A frozen lemonade from MGM! :)
Several popcorn shots! :)
Mozza sticks and pizza from the Boardwalk

I'm in the process of loading all our pics...so grab a seat and we'll be back with you shortly!

I hope you enjoy our review as much as we enjoyed eating!!!!!

Let's get this started!

ESPN Club:

One of our favorites.....super busy on a Saturday night but we finally got a seat in the bar area.

My appetizer was the chicken wings (I ordered them hot. They were hardly spicy-bring on the flame next time!). Joe had the chili. Pretty tasty, but not homemade. :)

Slider burger (whoops. sorry so big and blurry. I assure you the rest of the pics are better!)

No dessert-we were way too full! :)

House of Blues
There were numerous signs outside the door that said photography was not allowed. We probably could have snuck a few pictures of our food but didn't want to test the rules. :) The band that was performing was amazing. We were sat in the first row so it was quite loud, but still very enjoyable. We will definitely go back. The food had standard brunch items (eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, chicken wings, greens.) The desserts were a little less impressive with apple and cherry cobbler.

My DH will be drooling over the pic of the ESPN wings, that's his favorite food in all of the World!

Up next!

Chef Mickey's Dinner:

We really like Chef Mickey's. The food isn't really anything special, but something about seeing Mickey and Friends in chef's clothes is really cute. We aren't planning on going back anytime soon, but we're not mad we went either. :)

This is Joe's plate: prime rib, mashed potatoes, ravioli, and broccoli. Again, nothing was spectacular but decent.

My plate was pretty similar:

Desserts! chocolate mousse atop an orea (yum!), carrot cake, and a lemon dessert:

Here's a couple of Joe and I with The Mouse:

Hollywood and Vine

Hollywood and Vine gets such bad reviews on the Dis Boards and it's really disappointing to me, as it's one of our favorites. All year long I think about those BBQ meatballs. This year, I consumed 6! lol

Here's Joe's plate....much of the same as usual. Prime rib, mashed potatoes, green beans, chicken nuggets, pasta, meatballs and salmon:

And my plate....prime rib, green beans, the first three meatballs :), and a very tasty dinner roll with a big dallop of butter!
100_0719.jpg

Joe's dessert plate....a chocolate chocolate cake, mousse cup (my favorite!!!), snickers cheesecake, and a funny looking little carrot cake.

And my dessert plate....sorry it's blurry :( I had the mousse cup, apple cobbler, and snickers cheesecake.

Great pics so far! You and your DH make a cute couple! I noticed you already have your ressies for next year. Did you get a bounceback promo?

Alrighty, up next is Kona and Yachtsman. We had never been to either one!

Kona
100_0813.jpg

What a great experience. Everything was top notch. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. This is a new must do every trip!

Joe's appetizer was duck pot stickers. He thought they were pretty good. I asked if they tasted like chicken and his reply was, "Naw...just tastes like meat." Hahahaha!

Here's the pot stickers:

Joe's entree was filet. It was most tasty! :)
100_0850.jpg

Dessert was the Kilauea Torte. The gooey inside was just too much for me to handle-it was mighty good!

and the inside....

My appetizer was the caesar salad. Very good!
100_0829.jpg

My entree was the prime rib. Also very very good!
100_0851.jpg

My dessert was the apple brown betty. I didn't care much for the apples but like the topping and ice cream:
100_0853.jpg

Oh and here's the bread and butter brought out ahead of time. Very good and VERY easy to eat the whole loaf!!!

Yachtsman

Honestly, Yachtsman was a bit of a let down. With such a great time at Kona whichis only 1 table credit, we had high expectations for Yachtsman which is 2 table credits. The meal itself was satisfactory and while our server was very nice, the entire meal experience lasted around 2 1/2-3 hours.

Joe had arranged for a cake to be brought out but our waiter didn't know about it. The waiter was very apologetic which we appreciated but it took over 30 minutes for him to find the cake, another 15 to actually bring it out. We understood he was busy and appreciated his persistance in trying to help so we weren't mad or anything. In the end, they ended up comping the cake which was nice but unexpected.

Bread and butter-good, but not outstanding
100_0902.jpg

Joe's appetizer was the cheese plate. As I said before, we're pretty plain and basic food folks. He was expecting jack, cheddar, american, and maybe swiss cheese. The only "normal" cheese on the plate was mozarella. lol
100_0906.jpg

Entree was the 24oz Porterhouse:
100_0911.jpg

My appetizer was the caesar salad. I must admit I was surprised that it came out like this...I wasn't anticipating needing to cut it up myself! lol
100_0904.jpg

My entree was the filet.
100_0907.jpg

This was the dessert the waiter brought out. Very thoughtful but we were expecting the chocolate-chocolate cake Joe had ordered.
100_0914.jpg

Here's the cake. Like I said earlier, it's a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I wish I could rave about it, but the slice(s) I had were very dry and not too chocolatey. It would have been $12.50.

and the inside.....

Thank you so much for sharing. We leave in less then two weeks and you've inspired me to take pics of our meals! I wonder.....do you get any funny looks from the diners nearby? I few years ago I would have found that behaviour odd, but I'm totally ok with it now that I'm a Disney foodie :rotfl2:

You're welcome!!!

No, I never felt odd taking pictures to be honest with you. The *only* time I noticed funny looks was at Yachtsman where the people next to us asked if we wanted a picture together rather than of the food. I politely declined. lol

We didn't need our flash on for most of the pictures. Maybe if we had the flash on, we would have gotten more strange looks. :)

Cosmic Ray's

I was pretty excited to get to Cosmic Ray's to get the ribs and chicken platter. Unfortunately, it left something to be desired. The ribs were quite tough and dry and the chicken was mostly flavorless. I suppose the best part of my meal was the little cheesecake dessert. :)

Here's the chicken and rib combo. It *looks* good...but looks can be deceiving! :)
100_1038.jpg

My little cheesecake:
100_1042.jpg

Joe's double cheeseburger-he said it was just alright. For some reason the resort food court's burger was better:
100_1040.jpg

and for dessert was chocolate cake. It was just ok as well:
100_1045.jpg

I don't anticipate we'll go back to Cosmic Ray's unless we forget to eat before Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I'm glad we tried it though!

Whoops! I went a bit out of order. Sorry! :)

Concourse Steakhouse Breakfast

Yummm. Now THIS was a great surprise. As you can tell, we love steak. We had a good experience at the Concourse a few years ago so we thought we'd give breakfast a try. We both ordered steak and eggs. It was absolutely delish!!!!!!!!

While we're on breakfast, here are a few shots of the breakfasts we had throughout the week at All Star Music. I often orderd the adult breakfast platter, Joe usually got the breakfast sandwich. One morning I switched it up and got pancakes with bacon. We were very pleased with the breakfasts at the food court!!!!

Pancakes and bacon:

Chocolate croissant:

Bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich (cream cheese danish to the right):

More food court....
Chicken tenders and fries:
100_0361.jpg

Pepperoni pizza-nothing you'd order again and again, but it wasn't bad:
100_0892.jpg

I'll work on the real good stuff this evening (Goofy's Candy Co!!!!!)

We found that to be true with the burgers as well. I had a great veggie burger at All Star Music, but the one at Cosmic Rays was so-so.
