Please moving fairy, don't shift this! I want British opinions on food, so I posted this here rather than the restaurant forum.

Has anyone tried the catfish at GG? Whats it like? I don't like fish (Except fishfingers;) ) but does catfish taste like fishy-fish:confused3

Also, what food does anyone recommend at San Angel? (I know most people recommend NOT eating there, but if you have what can you recommend?) Being unadventurous Brits, I've never really tried anything other than Old El Paso Fajitas:lmao: so I'm at a bit of a loss with the menu. I do fancy the Chicken Mole but if it really tastes like chocolate I know I won't like it-chicken is chicken and chocolate is chocolate and never the twain should meet!:rotfl:

The catfish at gg is gorgeous,my partner had some last yr and he really liked it and so did i ................being a person that`ll only eat cod lol

Another must to try at the gg is there homemade butter,i thought id hate it but after tasting we wanted more.

How is the fish done? I mean is it breadcrumbed or battered or just fish? And it doesn't come with his head on does it-can't stand food looking at me!

what flavour is the homemade butter then???

The last time we ate at GG was about 2 years ago. From memory, the catfish was ok. It was covered in breadcrumbs, similar to fish fingers. I really adventurous when it comes to food and although it was nice, I probably wouldn't run back anytime soon for it.

We like the San Angel Inn and usually eat there every other trip. We tend to go for lunch rather than dinner. I usually order the Plato Combination. IMO SAI is worth a visit for the atmosphere. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food then I would suggest trying other restaurants outwith Disney.

Just as a side note - I've always found chocolate to go rather well with meat.
