i have been told that its expensive to eat in disneyworld. is this true i am just going with my 10yr old daughter. or should we eat before we get in there

You'll find that in general it is more expensive to eat at WDW than off property. There are lots of good choices to eat when you are headed to WDW on the adjacent roadways.

Here is a complete list of restaurants at WDW with prices. Snacks from push carts like Ice Cream, popcorn, soda etc, will run you about $2-$5 each.

BTW if you see a table service on the list from the link above, I suggest you get on the Disney website and make a dining reservation now.

I guess it depends on how you eat. I find counter service to be over priced and eating in the parks in general is very pricey. There is no doubt you can save money off site, but the hassle of going back and forth is hardly worth it. We try to eat breakfast before we get there, plan a big meal during the day and a small snack. That usually makes it reasonable.

Agree, food can be pricey. One way we cut down on the expense is splitting lunch or dinner. The double burger in the American adventure in epcot or cosmic rays in tomorrowland (mk), or pecos bills in the magic kingdom. With fries and a drink, this is enough for my wife and I, or one of our sons and I. We also bring snacks in to the park. i.e almonds and cranberries, fruit leather, fiber one bars.

Also keep in mind that alot of meals are large enough to share. Plus at counter service restaurants kids meals can be ordered if you would like to spend less money. You can also bring snacks or sandwiches in with you plus a small cooler with sodas/water. Its not what you are eating, its that you are eating at Disney World
