Food & Wine & Friends, or 'Wishing a Year Away'. October 2012 PTR *NEW 11/18 TR link!

Raglan Road seems to be growing in popularity! Which is :cool1: and :headache:. I hope it doesn't become difficult to get ADR's!! When we went in '09 is was a spur of the moment and the restaurant wasn't very busy either time!

I wish my family didnt have to make the mad-crazy-dash to TSM and could focus on RnR and ToT...BUT, with 4 kids, we have to make the crazy dash for FP...or, at least DH has to make that dash :rotfl:

TSM lost its appeal to Ben and I after we waited a very, very long time for it and we were underwhelmed when we finally rode. I don't hate it by any means, but don't have to ride it

Raglan Road is the one place I'm most looking forward to trying on my upcoming trip... more so than Le Cellier, I think!

It is SO good! The bread pudding is amazing!!

Your plan for day 3 looks great. :thumbsup2 I think getting some pool time in will be perfect.:goodvibes

I definitely want to take advantage of our resort on this trip!

Pool time is a great, relaxing way to spend an afternoon! I love Raglan Road, a dinner there sounds great!

Have to make sure to schedule relaxation in, so we don't forget to do it!

I know what you mean about your DHS plans. If you're willing to skip TSMM, then you get to ride RNRC as many times as you want, because it is empty. It's a great thing.:rotfl:

I enjoy Sci Fi...they have some of the best milkshakes in DHS.

It's true- the rest of the park is empty when everyone is at TSM!

Yay for Raglan Road...I love that place!

It does seem to have a large following now, and it deserves it! I don't think it will ever be quite like CRT or Le Cellier in terms of difficulty getting an ADR... at least I hope not!

Yay we're going to Disney next month!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:

Your October plans all sound so great! I hope you get all of your ADR's! :goodvibes I need to go to Raglan Road, it looks like so much fun!

We all know what comes after day 3 plans...

Day 4 plans, of course!

This day starts at Epcot. We'll have the option of sleeping in a bit, since there's nothing we want to do here that requires rope drop. Seriously- not being interested in some of the headliners at WDW really frees up our time :rotfl:

We'll leisurely explore Future World, and Hilde & Sebastian are planning on doing the Behind the Seeds tour at Living with the Land. Ben and I did this in 2010, so we don't need to go again. Maybe we'll ride the Land while they are on the tour so we can see them and wave and be weirdos!

Once World Showcase opens, we'll grab an early lunch at some Food & Wine kiosks and then head back to the resort for a break, and to get ready for our very first MNSSHP!!
Costumes are very much still up in the air... we want to go Disney themed, but easy to pack and nothing that will be hot to wear. I will keep you posted as that story unfolds!

I'm hoping to get to the MK fairly early so we can have dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern before the party officially starts. Then we'll have all the Halloween fun our little selves can handle! As a person who is not into parades, I am actually hoping to see the parade at the party. I am also excited about HalloWishes, since I have only heard amazing things about it.

I am super, duper, really, really looking forward to this day!!

Look at you, sneaking in there

Seriously... I can NOT believe that May is almost here!! My trip kinda starts a couple days earlier than my ticker says, cause I am driving out to Western Mass on Friday to hang out with Mark in his neck of the woods on the Saturday before we leave. :dance3:

MNSSHP is a lot of fun, I think you all are going to enjoy it. And Hallowishes is pretty awesome (it my DH's favorite fireworks show). :thumbsup2

Your day 4 looks good! I thought about going to MNSSHP that night but wanted a few more park days before I took the day off and only did MNSSHP...

You're days sound so much more relaxed than mine do!! Unfortunately I feel the need to do everything!!

I love Epcot days... for us they are more relaxed too be cause we aren't trying to cram a bunch of rides in. Epcot is all about the shopping and eating for me. :goodvibes

I think your idea of costume requirements is perfect. We hope to go too.. and those haven't really thought a lot about costumes. When you mention your requirements though... I think I have to agree and will use your guidlines myself.:thumbsup2

Definitely does sound like a fun day!! Zach and I weren't too crazy about LTT, but the convenience of being in the MK before the party can't be beat!
Test Track is the only reason we do an Epcot rope drop. We usually ride that twice, hit up Spaceship Earth, MS...and then wait for the WS to open. :rotfl: I wish TT didn't require getting up early!

Wishes is the only nightime show at WDW that we make a point of watching, so I am sure HalloWishes will be a hit!

That makes sense.
We try to leave things open as much as possible... Ben and I have similar ideas of what is 'skippable', so that helps free up time!

Now I just have to figure out what the costumes will actually be!

I like LTT for lunch, but have never tried dinner. As long as it's at least 'ok', I'll be fine with it. Though I might scrap this ADR and eat at Columbia Harbor House, since I love that place!

We like TT, but don't love it. Plus, we usually end up using the single rider line if stand-by is too long for us.

You are going to LOVE MNSSHP! :cool1: It is so much fun! If we go this year, I'm definitely going in costume, I wanted to last year but I couldn't think of anything!

I like parades, but I don't schedule my park days around them or anything...however make sure you see the Boo to You parade, it is awesome! :cool1: The Headless Horseman at the beginning is SO cool! And the music is great, and the whole Haunted Mansion part is the best! :dance3:

We don't make plans to see the parades unless we just happen to be nearby when one is starting, even with kids, but we go early to find a good spot for the Boo to You parade at MNSSHP. It's a no miss. So is Hallowishes. The ending is amazing.

You're going to have a blast at MNSSHP! The parade is a must. I'm not a parade person either and I absolutely loved it. My favorite by far!

I concur! The Boo to You! parade is our favorite of all the WDW parades we've seen... the song is catchy, and it's great to see all the characters in costumes!

The headless horseman is the reason I ever thought of watching the parade. Can't wait!!

Ooooh, that is a great review- I will definitely plan to stake out a spot!

I didn't think I could be more excited, but I am!! :woohoo: Who needs summer? I want October to get here!

One month from today, I'll be at Mark's house, waiting to leave for Disney in the morning! It's so close!

I've been obsessed with the October ADRs recently, since our date to make them is coming up soon. I am really, really happy with what I have planned, but I can't stop thinking about other places we could eat. Driving myself nuts!

But here is what Day 5 looks like at the moment:
This is going to be another Epcot day for Ben and I, since we are hoping to do the Segway tour. I think it will be a lot of fun, we did the short little ride at Innoventions, and we both did really well on them.

Hilde & Sebastian don't want to do this tour, so they will be going to a water park this morning. This is the first real 'separate time' we'll have, so if we are ready to kill each other, this should help. I'm really kidding: we spend lots and lots of time with them, and we never get sick of each other. Mostly we just laugh a lot and make incredibly inappropriate jokes. Seriously, if anyone heard the stuff that the four of us comes up with, no one would ever want to be around any of us. But it's fun!

Ben and I will either leave for a break after our tour, or continue hanging out in Epcot. I don't have any ADRs planned for this day :scared1: but dinner will be from the F&W booths.
Epcot has EMH this night, so we may stay and soak up the atmosphere. OR, we may go back to Jellyrolls cause we LOVE IT!

I bet you're going to have so much fun at MNSSHP! We can't wait to go this year too! I am really, really excited about the parade. It seems amazing! :woohoo:
