Food & Wine & Friends, or 'Wishing a Year Away'. October 2012 PTR *NEW 11/18 TR link!

the Magic Kingdom has been super crowded every Sunday I've gone, so that alone may be enough to drive us out of the park.

Awesome plans! The snipit I quoted above... That SCARES me:scared1:. I have the same day planned as our MK day (as Option 1) as it is the most recommended park both by touringplans and easyWDW! If its busy I dunno what we will do. I guess park hope but dunno to where!!

Love the rest of your plans! I have to fit Jellyrolls in somewhere!!

Your plans sound great! I'm sure you're going to have a great time on the KTTK tour!! Someday, I HAVE to get to Jellyrolls! It sounds like so much fun!

Sounds like a great day. Start off with a KTTK tour and potentially end with a Jellrolls visit ....:thumbsup2

You're not going to MK on your first day? What the what??!!??

I honestly made plans to not go to MK on our first day for our June trip. In fact, AK was going to be our first park. And I held out until just the other day...Now I've rearranged all our plans so that we will go to MK first. I just couldn't do it. More power to you if you are able to resist the urge--you're a better woman than me! :thumbsup2

Day 2 plans sound awesome! I want to do the KTTK tour so bad, but it will have to wait til a longer trip, there's no way we can squeeze it in in May!

Jellyrolls sounds like so much fun, I don't know why we've never been there!

The awesomeness is too much;)

Seriously though, looks like a great day...especially the tour!

I keep remembering that we'll be on this trip with some of our best friends and it just makes everything even MORE awesome!

We went tour crazy on our first trip to WDW and did Around the World on a Segway, Behind the Seeds, and the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains. Then the second time we went we did the Wild Africa Trek. KTTK was another one we wanted to do, but didn't get the chance. I hear great things about it!

Never been to Jellyrolls...I know :scared1: It's scary.

Woah! That is a lot of tours! We did Backstage Magic and Backstage Safari on our last trip and enjoyed them very much! We're looking forward to checking out more tours.

Ya gotta go t Jellyrolls!!

Don't stress too much! It's always fine if you get there at park opening, and grab some FPs along the way. And this is just something I personally have felt about weekends in the MK in the past- I don't know how crowded the park actually was. Hopefully Touring Plans prediction is right on!

Seriously, go to Jellyrolls, people!! :rotfl:

I love that on a tour you don't have to wonder 'what are we doing next?' And you don't need to wait in lines!

Joining in!

Welcome! Glad you've joined!

Seriously, right? Now, I am not guaranteeing that we won't hop over to the MK... but as far as the plans go- no MK first day!

Yeah, I wouldn't do a tour on a shorter trip, cause they take up a good chunk of the day.

Geez, I've missed a lot! The first two days' plans for the October trip sound awesome! I can't wait to hear what you think of Keys to the Kingdom. I made a reservation to go to Disney in late January for Franklin's birthday and we really want to do one of the tours on that trip. I'm torn between Backstage Magic and KTTK, so I can't wait to hear your comparison!

Also can't wait to hear what you think of Jellyrolls. Now that BWV is our "home," I have a feeling we'll be spending plenty of time there. :rolleyes1

I will definitely give you a review and comparison of the two tours!

We love Jellyrolls- Ben and I have only been once, and it was awesome! The friends we're traveling with have been a couple of times and they are the reason we went at all!

I am just a leeeeetle bit jealous that BWV is your home resort... we just can't seem to get a reservation there (though trying during F&W probably isn't the best time :rolleyes1 )

That's funny because I'm a little jealous of YOUR home resort. I've already said that if we add on, it will be at BLT. I love me some Contemporary. But yes, one of the biggest reasons for buying at BWV was how much we looooove F&W. Though our upcoming F&W trip will be spent at AKV. :lmao:

I think BLT and BWV are my top picks- can't beat the location! Of course, the GF villas will be pretty good in that way, too!

Now that it's April, I can say I am going to Disney next month! Every time I see that ticker on my posts, I am surprised all over again by how close it is. And I know I've mentioned before how much I love the month before going to Disney. Now I can start doing all those nutty things, like checking the weather (even though it doesn't change anything about my trip!) every day to see the forecast get closer to my dates.

And the October trip is only a little more than 6 months away. ADRs can be made on the 13th, and I am hoping I get everything I want!

Here's my day three plans:

This is our first day scheduled to be at DHS. I'm aiming to get there for rope drop, but I don't want to do any kind of running to a certain Toy Story themed ride  If someone else in my group wants to, I will not be above handing them my ticket to get a FP for me :rolleyes1 .
My destination will be ToT and RnRC... which might be deserted since everyone else will be at TSM.

I'm planning on lunch at Sci Fi Dine In. I really like this place- I know the food is not fine dining, but I love burgers and I love onion rings, so it works for me!

After lunch, we'll probably head back for a break at the resort- I want to get some pool time in!

Dinner will be at Raglan Road- one of my favorite restaurants... I can't wait to eat there!

I don't have anything planned for the evening- maybe we'll end up playing cards back at the resort, or just head to bed early to stay well rested!

Yeah for the one month till your next trip!

Love your DHS plans! Sounds much more laid back than mine! :lmao:

:lmao: I thought about trying SciFi this time but I really want the Fried Chicken from Prime Time so I guess I'm sticking with that! Although the picnic burger I read about at Sci-Fi sounds awesome lol!!

What day are you arriving at WDW? The only reason I ask is because my check-in day is October 12 and my ADR day is April 15th... For some reason I thought you checked in the 13th so ADR would be the 16th??

I agree, March did fly by! I can't believe it's now April, and that you're going to Disney next month! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: I love the month before a Disney trip, too. There is just so much excitement!

I bet the four of you are going to have a blast at Jellyrolls in October. :thumbsup2 I'm already excited to read that update of the TR!

I'm going to Prime Time next month (I love saying that! ), so I get the best of both worlds!

You are right! My ADR day is the 16th... I had a brain fart and was thinking of 6 months, not 180 days.

I've been texting Mark with the number of days left every so often, but today we have been texting back and forth non stop. We are VERY excited. But I try not to talk about it too much at home, because I feel bad that Ben can't go (stupid job!)

I wish my family didnt have to make the mad-crazy-dash to TSM and could focus on RnR and ToT...BUT, with 4 kids, we have to make the crazy dash for FP...or, at least DH has to make that dash :rotfl:

Raglan Road is the one place I'm most looking forward to trying on my upcoming trip... more so than Le Cellier, I think!

Your plan for day 3 looks great. :thumbsup2 I think getting some pool time in will be perfect.:goodvibes

I know what you mean about your DHS plans. If you're willing to skip TSMM, then you get to ride RNRC as many times as you want, because it is empty. It's a great thing.:rotfl:

I enjoy Sci Fi...they have some of the best milkshakes in DHS.
