Hi,

I thought I posted a thread on this a while ago but I can't figure out where it went. I'm not sure how to find my old thread, sooooo here it is again!

I'm planning a trip for next year that will be during the Food and Wine Festival. Being that I love food.....and wine....I'm really excited! Does anyone have any advice as to the best areas to visit as well as better times of day?

Thanks :)

F&W takes place all around Epcot's World Showcase Lagoon. The best advice I can give you is to allow several days. The first day you go, start in one direction and on the second day start in the other direction. That's because you'll probably be full by the time you get all the way around. Doing it in opposite directions allows you to try everything.

Also, weekends tend to be significantly more crowded than weekdays because F&W is a big attraction to the townies. Similarly, nights are busier than early afternoon.

Disney has gotten better :confused3 at putting some material on line so you can see which food and wine is being offered where. And of course the DIS has a number of blogs, threads and such. These can help you plan your visit around World Showcase. Everytime I go to Food and Wine I find myself full before I get one-third of the way around. For what it is worth, weekends, especially nice weather weekends, tend to be more crowded than Tues - Thursday.

Not only is the food and wine great! But they have good free concerts in the American Bandstand. If you can I would book the epcot resorts it would make things easy.

Thanks for the feedback :) I didn't think of splitting it up and that makes sense (didn't keep in mind the getting full part!).

I think we're going to try for reservations at BCV for the portion of the trip when we visit Epcot so I'll probably try to make those reservations during the week rather than weekend.

Great advice :goodvibes

We always get there at the booth openings, 11am. and the lines are fairly short.
I like the advice to start at one end one day and other the next. Yes, you will get full by the time you are 1/2 way around. Love food and wine!

I know at the Disneyland one you can pay for tickets to a few food presentations. Is this the same for the Epcot festival? If so, have any of you been to any/would you recommend it?

At F&W, you just get in line, order and enjoy. Belly full, wallet empty, the way World Showcase was meant to be experienced!
Tip: GREAT way to use DDP snack credits, which leaves you more $$ for the wine!

They have many different presentations at the Epcot F&W Festival. Disney has not yet updated the F&W webpage for 2011, but you will be able to get an idea of what may be offered in 2011.

Don't do World Showcase on a Saturday if you can help it.

If you want to book BCV for the festival - do it as soon as you possibly can. This resort sells out for festival time first.
