FOOD, WINE, AND SANDERSON SISTERS OH MY!

It’s like he doesn’t even know you.

I know!

How dare he! I told him I would just go without him.

No way! How’d you manage that???

Years of harping.

May I ask why?

They are not near as nice as the Mississippi welcome center on I-10.

There’s nothing in that sentence that is less than awesome.

I'm really excited to try it.

Can recommend the deviled eggs. And the Mac n cheese!

The deviled eggs are on my radar.

I liked it. Funky place.

Looking forward to trying her too. We looked at going when the entertainment is happening but it's just too late at night for us.

What have you done with the real Dennis?

I don't know, but I hope the new one comes on the trip.

Wish I was there

Me too!

I know exactly which rest area you're talking about! It's the one near the time zone change. :rotfl:
I used to go to FSU in Tallahassee, and whenever I had family coming to visit, I told them to avoid that rest stop, too.

That's the one! I made the mistake of using it when I was driving back by myself on our Girls trip in 2021. Never Again!

Ugh, always! I hate 75.

So do I!

I've heard the food there is amazing. I'm sure the apps wouldn't disappoint.

I'm so looking forward to this.

I would have been surprised if Fantasmic wasn't in your plans.::yes::

It's a given.

I'm excited! Also glad we don't have to fight the masses to enjoy the fireworks on Main Street.

Me too! The last time I saw HEA was in a very tight crowd.

Gideon's cookies are a must every Disney Springs visit, in my opinion.
Hope you can visit at the apartment for a little and still get some pool time in.

Gideon's is a must for me too now. I'm really hoping for some pool time.

I guess he's thinking, if I'm going to do this, might as well go all in. :confused3

Whatever it is, I'm hoping it keeps up.

Hopefully one turn on Guardians won't be too bad. Like you said, the unknown can really mess with you. And just in case, take some Bonine or Dramomine. ::yes::

I forgot to take something last time. I have both and will remember this time.

I'm still upset about this! Why take away such a staple pizza item?!

Doesn't make sense. Maybe it's supply and demand.

I hope you get to ride Tron!

Me too! Are you going to ride?

We definitely have some similar places and attractions we want to do

Oh good!

I think we will do Hoop de Doo especially if Jack doesn’t come.
I am making him decide this weekend or he is out, lol 😆

I don't know if I should say I hope he comes or not. Would love to do Hoop de Doo with you but I know it's been a long time since he has come.

I am tossing around the after hours event either at MK or DHS, I think we will get more for our money at MK since we won’t be riding ToT or RnRC at DHS, if we do that I’m not sure we would also splurge on the fireworks party.

I think MK after hours would be a better deal too. I can understand not doing both.

I also want a Space 220 lounge reservation for Donna, she loves everything space!

I hope you get it!

If we don’t do the fireworks party maybe I will try the same night as you for Hoop or we can meet for a drink. I think we may do AK that first Monday as well.

Between HDD and AK we should meet up. I've been dying to try Nomads.

I added an extra night for USO, however, it is very expensive for 2 day park to park tickets so we may just stay at a value resort and have a non park day our last day. I’m not sure.
I do have Portofino Bay resort reserved at UO for 4/24/22

Tough call.

I also reserved the Swan for our Disney portion but I think we will keep the WL. Donna really wanted the Epcot area but I’m not sure if we will like the Swan?? We have never stayed there.

WL is on my bucket list, but being near Epcot is a great perk. I'm glad @amazingact21 chimed in.

I may need to update my last report with some plans and ask for advice. It is about 600.00 dollars less than WL
May do the Swan and this will offset the cost of USO, decisions, decisions!

Posting your plans and asking for feedback is always good.

Either way, though, I love both resorts and think you'll be happy at whichever you choose.
Thanks for the review, I knew you had done both! It is a hard decision to make.
We love Epcot and the buses from WL not my favorite.
Maybe a split would be the best option like you did!

How dare he! I told him I would just go without him.
Now yer talkin'!
Years of harping.
:rotfl:
They are not near as nice as the Mississippi welcome center on I-10.
Ah.
I was wondering if it was because they were unsafe, dirty or too far out of the way.
The deviled eggs are on my radar.
:thumbsup2
Looking forward to trying her too. We looked at going when the entertainment is happening but it's just too late at night for us.
I've been there for the start of the late night entertainment and it was just okay. Mind you I only stayed for... maybe an hour?
I don't know, but I hope the new one comes on the trip.
::yes::

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.

Mine was good, but started way too early. Today was my ADR day. I've been up since 4:45 am.

I can't say it was totally successful but it wasn't too bad.

I'm still waiting for the HEA Dessert party to be announced and reservations to open up. I missed on getting a Space 220 lounge lunch once again. I didn't see any lounge reservations at all. I did see lots of Space 220 restaurant reservations available. So those were my total fails.

Hoop Dee Doo was a cliffhanger for most of the morning. When I first tried there was nothing loaded past April 15th. I saw April 16th open up a few hours later. A little while after that I saw Wednesday and Thursday open up, but never saw Monday or Tuesday open at all. Are they closed those days? I checked with Caroline and Dennis and ended up booking for Thursday, our last night. The good news is I got the 6:15 reservation and Tier 1. The bad news is that cuts into my MK time. It's my favorite park. I'm hoping we can make it back to MK to close it down. I'm also still hoping to make it there on the Monday night for HEA Dessert Party. I am happy we'll be ending our trip with some great entertainment.

I wanted to get Homecomings for our arrival night for dinner. I got it but it's a really late reservation. I'm hoping to get it moved up or just try for a walk up.

I got the Mama's dinner reservation I wanted for Sunday night. I know we just ate there on our last trip but I couldn't interest Dennis in anything else and we like to have one Italian meal each trip. I didn't get the steak last trip and Michelle did. It's been on my mind since then. I'm not going to try for the Fantasmic Dinner package because I don't think we'll eat all the food offered. The last time we ate there Danielle and I shared an entre. The Dinner package comes with and entre for each person and an appetizer or dessert for each person. I also don't think the packages have been released yet.

We don't have an ADR for Monday since I'm still hoping for the HEA Dessert Party. Tuesday is our rest day and I did get a lunch ADR for The Edison and since I could not book HDDR I booked a dinner at Steakhouse 71!!! I'm really excited about this and hope we keep it.

Wednesday is Epcot and since I didn't get Space 220 lounge for lunch, I booked Biergarten for dinner. I'm still salty that I missed going here last trip since we cut it short by 1 day.

Thursday is our last park day at MK. Originally I had booked Skipper Canteen for dinner since this was Dennis' request. When I booked HDDR it got cancelled. I did book a lunch at Skipper's for Dennis. I really hate having 2 big meals and missing time in the park, but I need to let Dennis have a win.

We have one extra meal over what we planned and I'm really hoping Steakhouse 71 doesn't get cancelled.

Overall it wasn't too bad and most of the stress is over. I just need to stress about the Dessert Party.

I’m glad you got most of what you wanted. Crossing my fingers your get the desert party without too much bother 🤞

Thank you! I'll take all of "The Luck of the Irish" I can get.

Sounds like you did pretty well. Hopefully the dessert party will open up soon.
Not too bad. They put a statement on the Dessert web page yesterday stating it was was coming soon.

I touched base with Caroline this morning and she did really well on her ADRs.

I wanted to do a brief trip recap of the trip we took after our Sanderson Sisters Trip. Dennis, Danielle and I took a trip to celebrate her graduation from LSU in May 2021.

But first I want to do a shameless plug for Danielle. I think some Diser follow her on Instagram. She has taken her old account and made it private. It's under @danixnima. She has started a new account for basically Disney content @elliexonline. Keep in mind she is very young adult so most of her content is geared towards that. She also has a TikTok at elliexonline. She will always be Danielle to us but her Disney friends know her as Ellie, the nickname her first roommates gave her. Shameless plug is over.

Our trip was from May 1st thru May 6th. These dates fell between Danielle finishing up classes and the actual date that she walked for Graduation. I was able to book with a Pin Code Dennis got from a very old email address he had and no longer uses. I do all the planning and have never gotten a PIN code but he did. :scratchin When I called to book it the only correct info they had was his email and name. No worries I still booked with a 35% discount. It was booked as a package with no tickets. The CM was convinced the Dining plan was coming back and she said it could be added. So we had a package with only a room and all the perks including a set of luggage tags. Luggage tags are something I miss now that I book room only reservations. We booked at Caribbean Beach in a standard 5th sleeper. This was our first and so far only visit to this resort. We originally planned to use some of Danielle's free tickets she had left over from her aborted DCP that Disney let them keep but the block out dates weren't working for us. I had an AP that was good until May 10th. Danielle purchased herself a 4 day ticked from Undercover Tourist and I purchased that same for Dennis. We also did not tell Dennis about this so if you ever meet him, mums the word. We don't talk about our fuzzy Disney math with him.

We flew Southwest and just like everyone else out flights went through several changes. We used Magical Express for what ended up being the last time the 3 of us used it. It was not the best experience but more on that later.

We did all 4 parks with some hopping. We had several TS meals. Our TS meals were T-Rex, Prime Time, Yak & Yeti, Skipper Canteen and Beaches & Cream.

Covid protocol had made some advancements. We no longer had to wear a mask for outside photos. We still had to wear masks when we were outside and inside. Not too long after our trip the outside masking was dropped. The distance on rides were not as far, but there was still some distance. The lines on the pavement were no longer there so the 6 feet spacing was not enforced. I know the parks had more people but it didn't seem as crowded as it did on our October 2020 trip. I think it was due to the lines not snaking in the walkways.

The highlights for this trip was the photo shoot Danielle did to celebrate graduating and finding out the DCP was coming back. If you have followed a long with our trip you know Danielle was heart broken when the parks closed and her 1st DCP was ended. When she was getting ready to graduate she was stressed on what her next step in life would be. Her plan had been to go back and work for Disney but that did not look like it would happen. When we were in DHS waiting to check in for our late lunch at Prime Time, she got the official email asking her to come back to the DCP. She filled out the application while we were at lunch. It doesn't get more Magical than that. :wizard: My response as soon as she got the email was to tell Dennis I had to renew my AP.

I plan on giving my thoughts on the resort, parks and meals with a few photos.

May 2021 Recap
We made the drive to New Orleans to catch our Southwest Flight It wasn't an early flight but still got us there with some time to play.

Fake monorail and a beautiful day.

Once we landed and made the trek over to the other side we got in line for ME. This was the line.

While waiting in line, Danielle put this together to poke fun at my love for Disney.

The line photo was taken at 1:48 pm and a photo I took on the bus was taken at 2:36. Our arrival photo at the resort was taken at 3:14 so under an hour and a half. We had a much worse time on our way back. We waiting a long time for a bus back to MCO along with several others. We saw 4 or 5 buses dropping off but none picking up. We spoke several times to the CMs working at baggage and working the general area. We even asked some of the drivers dropping off. I guess this was our tip off that Disney really didn't care about this service anymore and it's days were numbered. We did finally get picked up a little over 2 hours before our flight. I know we all complained about the 3 hours but this was just a little too close. We made it in time to get checked in and through security but we certainly didn't have much time to sit around and wait.
Arrival photo.

Resort in next update.

We don't talk about our fuzzy Disney math with him.
:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:This made me laugh so much as I don’t discuss my fuzzy Disney maths with anyone other than my daughter lol

I’ll go follow Danielle on Instagram. I don’t have TikTok. I’m so pleased she is living out her best Disney life :goodvibes
