Food voucher coupon ?/ priority seeting ?

My daughter and I are going to Disney in April with our high school band. (I am a chaperone) We were told that we will get coupons for our meals---meaning if we are in the Magic Kingdom, we will get a coupon saying that we can get a hamburger and a drink at Pecos Bill. Has anyone else gotten these as part of a school trip? Do these coupons have to be used on the day that we will be in the Magic Kingdom, or can we save the coupon and use them when we go as a family in June? I would like to take my daughter and her friends to Cinderella's castle to eat for a nice meal instead of eating "fast food" in the parks.

Also, anytime we go do disney, we stay on site. Since we are going with the band and we are staying off site, what is the soonest time that I can make reservations to eat at Cinderella's castle? I am not interested in a character breakfast, I was just thinking of having lunch or dinner there.

I've gone with our band 3 times, but we've never done the coupons. However, we did stay offsite. We arrived at the parks around 10:00 am. At that time, we parked at the ticket transit center and everyone went to whichever park they wanted.

DMIL headed up a band trip and gave us a few leftover coupons to use on a later trip. I believe they were good for the six months or more.
