Hi folks,

We are CA semi-locals in the early stages of planning a Japan trip for spring 2027! We are both pescatarians. My girlfriend has a chili allergy on top of it (oddly, she does ok with jalapeños so I think it's a compound in the red ones specifically), so she has said she's willing to occasionally eat chicken if needed to get by this trip- but I'm hoping to avoid that for myself. I think we'll be fine in Tokyo and Kyoto food-wise, but it looks like our two days in Disneyland and DisneySea might take a lot more thought. Thankfully, the allergy is one that causes her to have a really upset stomach, not anything life-threatening!

It's too soon to know specific hotels, but it's looking like we'll arrive in the late afternoon (Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo, then the local train to Maihama station) and stay at either the Sheraton or Hilton in Tokyo Bay. I'm thinking it might make sense to plan on having dinner somewhere at Ikspiari, and grabbing some breakfast and snack items in the grocery store there before our two park days. It sounds like we would be ok bringing in a few snacks to supplement what we find in the parks?

Any thoughts regarding the best plan for the parks themselves? I'm torn between perhaps making a sit-down reservation each day so we know we'd likely have one real meal, or if that would be a waste of money and we should just resign ourselves to grazing on snacks and/or heading back out to Ikspiari if we need something more substantial. Seems like Restaurant Hokusai might be a decent option in TDL. We could do one of the Italian-themed ones in TDS, but it does look like there are some counter service options too (Royal Banquet of Arendelle, and The Snuggly Duckling at first glance) which could work and give us more flexibility, since there are more attractions there which are different than what we have at home.

Thanks for your thoughts!
