I have been trying to come up with the best way to save a little on meals. I have read about coolers and the little fridge you can rent. Since we are flying I figure the fridge is our best bet. So I thought maybe we could take some cereals to eat,but then milk becomes an issue. Are there any small stores that we could go to once we are there? We are staying at the All Stars Sports. My mom thought that there were small stores somewhere around Downtown Disney. We are taking a shuttle to and from the airport so we wont have access to a car. Mom also thought we might have a continental breakfast that we could get fruit at in the morning. I told her I didn't think so since I can't find anything about it anywhere and we are staying at a budget resort. We only have a week to go and I am already stressed!! I'm not going to survive this week!

I really can't help you with the stores thing. When we stayed offsite first trip- we shopped at a few places for food -but when I stayed onsite (All Stars Music) I also did not have a vehicle and didn't really know of a way to go to a store besides paying for a taxi or something? Hopefully someone else can help you with that.

As for continental breakfast- I'm afraid that's a "nope" answer on that one at the resort. But they do have the food court which has not only cooked foods for breakfast but a section that is like a little tiny market- where you can get some fruit items, cereal, milk, etc. It's just not free though. LOL

If you are renting a fridge and want to do cereal -but are concerned about where to get the milk- I'm pretty sure they sell that in the resorts store??

There is a pantry area in the gift shop at the all stars. It is cheaper to buy milk there than it is in the food court. So that solves the problem of cereal in the am. You can buy fruit in the food court in small plastic containers, too. There is a store in DD called gourmet pantry (it is getting ready to close, tho) where you can also buy fruit, milk, juice, etc. If you bought it there, you would have to schlep it home on the bus. Really the gift shop has a good selection, they also have snacks, crackers, cookies, I think even cereals. But you will pay a little more. If you bring your own in a tote bag, you will have that much more room to bring back all the stuff the kids will want to buy!

Have a magical trip, and don't stress, the all stars are great resorts, lots of fun for adults and kids.
