Food questions: Lamplight menu and DTD reservations..?

Hello all! So exciting to be back on the disboards to research, plan, and dream! We have a couple of trips coming up in August and September, as long as circumstances allow. I have a couple questions that I'm wondering about, and thought I'd run them by you!

I know that most places have limited menus as things open back up. Lamplight Lounge is one of my dd's favorite places, and I've grabbed a spot for dinner in August. However, her two favorite things - piggy wings and the doughnuts - aren't on the menu yet. Has anyone heard anything about either of those items reappearing soon?

We also love DTD dinners at Naples and Tortilla Jo's. Normally, we do those as a walk-up without a reservation. We are fine waiting 20-30 minutes for a table. Is that still possible in DTD or should we make reservations 30-60 days ahead like we do in DL/DCA?

I know things can and are changing daily and August/September are far enough away that what works today may not apply that far ahead, but I thought I'd get some opinions on the questions floating in my head. Thanks!!

If you can snag reservations, I would.

Lamplight Lounge is adding something called Boardwalk Dining so I wouldn't be surprised if old favorites come back.

Well, I see that Lamplight Lounge has updated their menu. The donuts are back - yay!! - and then they've added a few new items, like a brussels caesar, a scotch egg salad, chicken ratatouille, and an al pastor pork chop. They've removed the sliders and the steak nachos. No piggy wings, though. They will be sorely missed!

I'll be interested to see the reviews on the new menu items as people try them. I'm not sure any of the new things appeal to me. We will probably stick with the lobster nachos and/or the burger, followed by the donuts, of course. But maybe one of the new items will look/taste better than they read to me right now.

Thanks once again to the DIS! I kept bypassing the Lamplight Lounge for dinner, but the new menu items are interesting. Booked it for our August trip...until something else opens up. LOL
I always hate to be a reservation hog, but this year is topsy-turvy!

OP, I agree with others that I'd make reservations just to have them, especially since everything keeps changing so much!

Yes, it's an adjustment for sure now that so many of our normal planning methods just don't apply in the same way this year. Enjoy your trip!

Same here - I wasn't the biggest fan of the lobster nachos, but the barbacoa nachos were high on my list. Oh well.
And thank you - I will keep an eye out for when the DTD reservations open up. Better safe than sorry, and finding ourselves without any sit-down dinner options at the last minute!

Those bahn mi brussel sprouts sound great... too bad they aren't on the brunch menu for inside!
