Food pics?? Got those! 10 days of Disney Dining! ~~PICS ARE BACK UP~~

Well that took a while! Sorry about the broken links. I finally have them all fixed now so on to day 8.


Day 8

We really wanted to try the Norway lunch this day but no such luck getting in there so we just had a counter service at Norway.

There are many goodies in there...

and here is what we had...

I did not care for the potato soup but everything else was really good. School bread is awesome as always!

Day 8 cont.

I snapped some random pics and picked up a few things as we strolled WS this day.

On to dinner.

We ate at Tutto Italia this night.

Everything was pretty good but we were not overly thrilled with it. Service was great here but the food was a bit dry.

Day 9

CRT breakfast. Big fat waste of time to say the least!! We were rushed in and rushed through pics with Cinderella. They said they had pics of my kids smiling and when they brought it to the table there were NO SMILES at all. It was a terrible pic. Not sure why they thought we would have wanted that. They were putting food down on the table before we ever sat down. Aurora came over before I ever got my youngest ds in his chair. She posed for a pic real fast and left. In the middle of me trying to take the pic and sit down they brought the hot food. We had not even had anything to drink yet, nor had we started eating the fruit or muffins. It was crazy! I am not kidding you guys when I say that from the moment we walked in to sit down, got all of our food and all of the princesses had come by to take one quick picture SIX MINUTES gad gone by! Yes, 6 minutes. I was shocked. They want you in and out in like 15 mins. The cm came and asked for our card after less than 15 mins. We had not even started eating anything b/c we were stopping for the princesses or the wishing ceremony, etc... It was horrible. Dh ate some bacon and I ate some eggs and my kids did not eat anything at all the entire time we were there so I was not in a great mood at all. We even tried to sit and wait for the princesses to come back around again for more pics to at least make it feel somewhat worth it but no such luck. When they would come back by and realize they had already seen us they would just wave and keep going. This was the biggest waste of a meal ever. I really could not get over it. So much for the great dining experience of eating in the castle. I would never suggest this to anyone. We had looked forward to it the whole time we were there as we had never eaten in the castle before but boy were we let down. BIG THUMBS DOWN here! Disney should be ashamed of calling this a dining experience.

OMG- That's a shame about CRT. We have not and do not have plans to eat there but I perfectly understand. Between all the planning, the anticipation of going and the money that people pay (meal plan or not) that is just not acceptable.

On the other hand I'm really enjoying your review and the pics are great. Thank you.

Ok, sorry I could not finish earlier. I was loading up the video I made of our trip to another site and the computer had just about stopped from being so slow. After all that time the upload failed so I will have to try again soon.

I will try to finish this up first though.



I think I left off with pics of the castle. I snapped some random shots of the dining area so I will share those. I was not as amazed with it as I had hoped to be. I am sure that has to do with being seated in the back corner where it was dark. I don't feel like we got to experience the dining room much and no views from the windows at all.

Ah well, at least I know now..lol

here we go...

Ok, I am sure you get the idea. It was a fairly small area.

After this breakfast we took the rest of the day off from the parks. We went back to the hotel for a swim and to just relax. We debated all afternoon about what to do for a late lunch. We thought about just doing Boatwrights so we would not have to leave the resort this night but at the last minute we decided to head to DTD to go to Planet Hollywood. We went about 3:30 so they were not busy and were able to seat us right away. Dh was craving some chicken crunchers so we just HAD to go.

I can't complain. Those ARE good!!! We had 2 orders of them and everyone loved them.


We also did the pasta and the steak. I know, I know, it is a trend we seem to keep up. I honestly did not realize it on the trip. I was lol when I started to look through the pics when we got home.

Desserts were the brownie and a milkshake.

I thought I was really hungry when we got there and I was enjoying the chicken crunchers but when the meals and dessert came out I just did not want anything. What I did have was good and dh said he steak was really good. He also enjoyed the milkshake.


Being that this was our last night we really hated not to go to the MK for at least a little bit so we knew they were staying open til 12am and headed over at about 9:30pm to just hang out and ride the HM one last time.

We got back to the hotel at midnight and I had called in an order for a large pizza for us to just take to the room and share. We had napped earlier and were wide awake at this point so we figured we best get something to eat in the room. The pizza smelled good and I was feeling like maybe I was hungry again so we got it to the room and sat down to eat.

Sadly, that is something else that was wasted. I had one slice before feeling full and ready to sleep. I gave the kids a slice each and they just watched cartoons and fell asleep before ever eating any of it. Ah well. We had credits we needed to use I guess.

It was a decent pizza. Nothing great, nothing bad.


Since we called the order in and they closed before we got there they just packed up a couple of desserts for us. It was a banana muffin and brownie. I can't comment on how good they were as we forgot to get them when we checked out the next morning.

Day 10- Last day!

We had several credits left this day that we were trying to figure out how to use.

We had 3 TS left and decided we would go to Epcot and have lunch at Chefs again since we really enjoyed that.

Remy came out before the meal this time.

I had the onion soup this day since I had always heard it was so good and I definitely agree. Really good!!

We also had 2 orders of the mac-n-cheese which I did not take pictures of seeing as how I had just taken pics of it a few days before.

I did take one of the chicken plate we had though.

All of this was very good! My crazy child ate an entire plate of the mac-n-cheese which I did not think he would be able to do but I should know the way he loves mac that he would!


We tried several things for dessert based on the recommendations of the cm .

We enjoyed them all very much!



Alright, this is the last of the pictures. We still had about 7 snack credits left as well as 6 counter services so we went to DTD on the way out and got some things for the road.

We got a couple of Italian sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich which we really enjoyed during that 9 hour drive home... These were VERY GOOD.

We then went over to Wolfgang Puck Express again and used 2 meals there at about 7:30. We got the chicken salad for us and chicken tenders for the kids. All was great as usual!

We still had a couple left that we considered just not using but we decided it was worth using them just to get bottles of juice and water for the ride home so we got 2 pizza meals to go from there as well which were very good.


Snacks were used on bottled drinks as well as a few buckets of cotton candy to bring home for the kids who are crazy over it. We like using snacks for that since the kids can keep the buckets and put crayons and such in them later.


So this brings me to an end. Last year I gained 6lbs on our trip so I was expecting to put that on again but I came home just one pound heavier this time so that was nice to not have to worry about that much. We shared many meals which left too many credits for us to try and use at the last minute so I don't think we would try to do things this way again. We felt like we were eating all the time but still had a lot of credits left over. We bought ds the adult dining plan thinking it would just give a lot more options, which it does but we just did not need them. I think we will save the money next trip and just stick with the childs plan.

2. what is the white stuff on the breakfast plate at Crystal Palace? is that oatmeal?

What a bummer about CRT! I keep going back and forth about whether to spend the $$ to eat there - I can't believe how they rushed you. Please write to Disney and let them know how bad your experience was.
Wow - you take really nice pictures! Love your shots of the sundaes at the Plaza. Those could be used in a professional ad!
