Artist Point, at Wilderness Lodge:

This appetizer salad had strawberries, strawberry dressing, and little pieces of chocolate dust - it was a creative (and fantastic) salad!
IMG_0876.jpg

This salad had bacon, poached egg, caramelized onion, and mustard dressing. Again, it was a great salad.
IMG_2958.jpg

Seared boar with huckleberry sauce and mushroom bread pudding - I loved this appetizer, especially the bread pudding.
IMG_2956.jpg

Duck confit with a little bit of duck prosciutto and pear - this was the best duck dish I've ever had.
IMG_0878.jpg

Buffalo tenderloin with sweet potato and caramelized onions - this was a fantastic dish
IMG_0880.jpg

Crispy roast chicken breast with root vegetable and green beans - the chicken was wonderfully cooked.
IMG_0884.jpg

This peachy dessert was really nice when we had it back in August
IMG_0074.jpg

My favorite part of Artist Point, I hope it never changes: the berry cobbler! It's the perfect way to end a meal: sweet, light, simple, and fresh.

Lemon-Garlic Shrimp Linguine - with Preserved Lemons, Italian Parsley, Shaved Garlic and Butter (meh, not great)

DHS - Studio Catering Company - this whole meal surprised me, I was suspecting "eh" food, but it was all GREAT!

Grilled chicken with rice and black beans - this was REALLY good! I was very surprised, being I don't usually care for meat on bones-but it was flavorful, juicy and tender.

I think ya'll know what this is...;)

IMG_7199Small.jpg

The cheesecake and grapes we also had are in this pic - the cheesecake was very good, and I'm not big on those cakes in a cup from Disney. My DS ate all the grapes...so I'm guessing they were alright! :goodvibes

This was one of the better rolls that I've had...both of us loved it and my DH is not much of a sushi lover.

DH said the noodles were kind of mushy like they'd been sitting around for a few minutes. (Totally different from the last time we ate there!)

Honey Chicken with White Rice and Veggies

Spicy Cheese Stuffed Pretzel- HS
IMG_2548.jpg

We used snack credits for these during our 12/08 trip. We love the pretzels in Germany...

I love that spicy cheese filled pretzel!!! I wish they were still at the Lunching Pad :sad2:

Biergarten, dinner

cold plate - various salads and pretzel bread
pic193.jpg

salmon, pork w/applesauce on top, spaetzl, schnitzel, sausage, potatoes
pic194.jpg

mac & cheese, sausages, pretzel bread, spaetzl w/red wine sauce, mustard to dip pretzel bread
pic195.jpg

fruit, tiny piece of cheesecake, and a bit of apple strudel
pic196.jpg

Well, I won't get a chance to try Biergarten this trip because I have a VERY picky eater and her won't eat there at all. Maybe on the trip I take with DH next year!

My DD17 is a very picky eater also. She doesn't get to determine where we eat. We have eaten at the Biergarten many times and she always manages to find something. Here's one of her plates. Chicken schnitzel, mac & cheese, pretzel roll and roasted potatoes. She also eats the salad and chicken soup.

Those Beirgarten pix look good! I've never had German food but the menu looks appealing and I know DH will enjoy the flight of beer! (Any idea how much that costs and have any pix I can show him??)
What is spaetzl & schnitzel by the way? The schnitzel looks good, whatever it is. Not so sure about the spaetzl. Do they serve all that at lunch or only dinner?

Spaetzl is comfort food for me, only we make it into big dumplings and boil them and serve them saute'd in butter and onions. Mmmmm...

Here is the beer flight:

I can't find the price anywhere. I remember it wasn't too bad. :confused3
