This is from our dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express (the sit-down restaurant on the west side of DTD):

Bread and dipping oil:

This is the flat iron steak with onion strings and fries. It was delicious!!!!!!!

Florida-MomsBirthday-012.jpg

This is the macadamia nut encrusted chicken. DH and I did "half and half" where we each ate half of each of these meals.

We both agreed the steak was good, but this chicken was superb! I think it was my favorite meal of our trip. I would highly recommend it.

It's funny, the only reason I ordered it was the person at the table next to us had it when we were seated and I asked the server what it was because it looked so good. Thank you kind stranger for ordering this so I was tempted to try it!

Florida-MomsBirthday-014.jpg

For dessert we also did "half and half". This was the mud pie. It was ice cream pie basically and it was good, but the other one I'll show next was the best!

Florida-MomsBirthday-015.jpg

This was the key lime pie. It was literally the first time either DH or I ever had this kind of pie. He ordered it on a whim. We were really full and decided if it tasted bad, we just wouldn't eat it all, but we did want to try it.

We ate every LAST morsel. It was heavenly!!!

Here are some shots from our all-time favorite snack place at WDW - Goofy's Candy Shop in downtown Disney (Marketplace).

My very tall DH took this shot OVER the glass where they make your personalized treats:

Here's my personalized treat:

Florida-MomsBirthday-021.jpg

Here is DH's - oreo dipped in milk chocolate and rolled in butterfinger and drizzled with white chocolate:

Florida-MomsBirthday-022.jpg

Since I love WDW rice krispy treats, I wanted a shot of this GIANT one:

Florida-MomsBirthday-020.jpg

DH and I got and ate these treats while on our trip, but since we didn't bring our kids along this time, we saved up some snack credits and the day we went home we stopped here again and got 5 more of these personalized treats - one for us, one for each of our 2 daughter's and one for my daughter's boyfriend who hasn't been to Disney in like 10 years (poor guy!). Of course they LOVED us sharing these treats and we wound up using 7 of our 14 snack credits on these treats. :cool1:

DH and I shared this CS meal at the CS version of Yak & Yeti. It is the honey chicken with rice and veggies and chocolate cake.

Florida-MomsBirthday-037.jpg

DH thought this was "okay." I thought it was down-right disgusting! Our local Panda Express has WAY better chicken.

This is the meal split in half, but in the end, I only ate a few bites and then I ate the cake and DH ate the chicken.

The next few pics are from La Cantina (Mexico) in Epcot. It was Sept. 7, 2008 at 5pm and this is what the world showcase looked like. I have never seen Epcot so empty.

Florida-MomsBirthday-041.jpg

This was the seating area at the restaurant. We were literally the ONLY people there the entire time we ate!

Florida-MomsBirthday-044.jpg

DH and I shared the nachos, a diet coke and a churro. We asked for the beans "on the side" and originally they just plopped them on the top, so DH took it back and said we meant we wanted the beans separate from the nachos and they put them in a cup for us that time. DH loves the beans. I hate them. It worked better this way.

Florida-MomsBirthday-043.jpg

As I said, we were the only people eating (at 5pm!). However, the birds knew we were their only chance for a free dinner, so they would NOT leave us alone!!!!

Here is poor DH with the starving :rotfl: birds pestering him:

Hi everybody! I stumbled upon this thread while looking around on the boards. Thought I'd share this photo I took in April 08 at the the ASMu food court. My mom thought I was weird for taking a picture of my breakfast, but when she saw how the picture came out she told me "Wow! That came out great!" :lmao:

My favorites - chocolate dipped Mickey rice krispies!!!!!

Everything Pop brownie - DH took a bite before I had the camera ready. :sad2: He said it looked better than it tasted, but he didn't leave one crumb behind either.

Ah, yes! Pure yumminess on a stick!

Dinner at Chef Mickey's

Overall impression - the food was not great---not even good really. DH did like the ribs. The meat slices and brocolli were the best thing I ate, and I would rate them mediocre. And the soft serve ice cream, can't really screw that up too easily!

However, the character interaction was EXCELLENT!!!!! We had such a good time! $29.99 each is a steep price for icky food, but almost worth it just for the characters...(we expected this going in from other reviews here on the DIS :thumbsup2)

DH's plate, stuffing, chicken wings, ribs, carrots, bread and ravoli.

My plate, brocolli, ravoli, corn, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, turkey and roast beef.

The child offerings - pizza, corn, chicken nuggets, I can't remember what the bottom middle tray was, maybe fish? , and mac & cheese (with Mickey shaped noodles!)

Some buffet pictures, the cold salads:

Desserts - key lime pie tarts, carrot cake and chocolate cake:

I believe the back tray was cobbler, and the front was a chocolate/cherry flavored gooey thing:

Mickey Oreos and cheesecake:

I have no idea why, but whenever I miss Disney I wind up in this forum. There's just something about food and Disney. This thread kills me. I'm always adding ADR's because of food that I see posted here and drool over. I'm not in the habit of taking pictures of my food while at Disney (maybe that'll change next month :confused3 ) but I do have one thing that I can post.

After seeing a few pictures on here and hearing about it, I had to have an ice cream cookie at the Main Street bakery last month. You guys weren't kidding at the massive size of it. When he piled all that ice cream on I was like :scared1: I have no idea how he managed to squish it down to this size:

Oatmeal Raisin cookies with vanilla ice cream

And it was gooood.

Chicken Parmigiana my brother and I both got. The picture turned out poorly though:

Dad had the catch of the day which was salmon and this picture turned out poorly too for some reason:
picsdisneyset05037.jpg

My daughter got the kid's pizza, no sauce, but she loves the chicken they put on it:
picsdisneyset05036.jpg

My nephew fell asleep in the stroller so he didn't make dinner that night, and I swear I took a pic of my mom's spaghetti and with sausage and meatballs, but it's nowhere to be found now. We go to Tony's every visit. It's a must do for us. I know a lot of people knock the food but we love it!
