Food on US Airways CLT to LAX

Hi guys,

I have heard you now have to buy your food on cross-country flights with US Airways. Do you have any opinions on what is the best thing to buy. I will be travelling with 3 teenagers so I know during the 5 hours they will need to eat - once at least - the boys maybe more!

Have any of you brought your own food on the plane? Have not flown in years and not sure what I can bring on the plane or if I can at all.

Any tips on this would be appreciated!

Not a problem bringing food on board. In fact they usually announce something like that at the gate. I wouldn't bring anything on board that has much of a smell. You could pack sandwiches from home if you like.
