Where would you eat? We have 3 dinners, 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches...
I've been drooling over the food thread for a week now and I want to eat everywhere!
I recently lost 28 lbs and I'm a WW leader so I can't afford to eat the whole DLR!!!
HELP! PLEASE!!!

Depends on what you are interested in. Do you want counter service or table service? Italian or Mexican? Seafood? Casual or upscale? Which meal of the day is the most important to you? Do you want to stay mainly in the parks or venture into Downtown Disney? Do you want to do a character meal or not?

In Disneyland, I like:

-Blue Ribbon Bakery for baked goods and snacks
-Carnation Cafe - especially for lunch, dinner or dessert - great meat loaf stack and apple pie a la mode
-River Belle Terrace for breakfast
-Bengal BBQ for skewers - good for a snack or lunch

In California Adventure, I like:

-Wine Country Trattoria - good meatball sandwiches for lunch or dinner and HUGE pizzetta salad
-Taste Pilots Grill - good BBQ chicken sandwich and criss-cut fries

In Downtown Disney, I like:

-Rainforest Cafe - goood chicken fried chicken but also good for breakfast!
- Naples - good pizza; generously sized
- ESPN Zone - great chicken strips and thick milkshakes

In the Grand Californian Hotel, I like:

- Storytellers Cafe - not the character breakfast, but the lunch and dinner menu options; great burgers, both veggie and beef; thick turkey and bacon sandwich; yummy spaghetti

In the Disneyland Hotel, I like:

- Goofy's Kitchen - my favorite restaurant in all of DLR and just a great breakfast buffet with lots of choices; I prefer breakfast over dinner at Goofy's

Is Goofy's Kitchen breakfast really worth $30 each? We like breakfast and we love buffets but seriously?

What about other breakfast favs? or should we just eat in our room and save calories for lunch and dinner and snacks...I need to stop looking at the food porn site... :rotfl2:

My sample dining plan might look like this...
Dinners:
Blue Bayou
Cafe Orleans
Taste Pilots Grill

Lunch:
Little Red Wagon(corn dogs)
Pizza Port

Breakfast:
Tomorrowland Terrace(?)
Riverbelle Terrace

No, IMO it's definitely NOT worth that much. The food was good but the character interaction (for our party) was terrible. And everyone raves about the peanut butter pizza, I grabbed a slice but couldn't eat it..neither would my girls and we love peanut butter!! We buy it all the time.

For breakfast I really liked Minnie & Friends. And Ariel's Grotto, that was fun too.

For me, Goofy's is absolutely worth it and I would pay $40 if it cost that much! (I have over 16 years of dining experience at Goofy's, so I am a die hard fan!) They have a wide variety of food - more than at the other buffets. It's not for everyone, though.

If I had had an experience like what Pixiewings71 had - or what some of the other non-Goofy's people had on their first meals there - I probably would not want to go back a second time either! So I can't blame anyone for not wanting to spend the money and risk it if they had a bad time or are not sure if they will like it. It's a lot of money to spend to take a risk. But my experiences have been excellent, so it's worth it for me!:goodvibes

A lot of people like Carnation Cafe for breakfast, as well as Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel. I have not tried Steakhouse 55, but would like to at some point. And again, Rainforest Cafe is good for breakfast too. Many folks like Pacific Wharf Cafe for the breakfast bread bowls, and Whitewater Snacks in the GCH gets high ratings too!

I would most definatly eat one meal in my room to save calories. Breakfast seems the logical choice, but if you plan to head back for afternoon breaks, then lunch would be easily doable too.

My plan, based on your specifications would be....breakfast in our room--yougurt and banana, lunch at White Water (fruit plate and chicken sandwich to share for DH and I) and soup in bread bowl (bread bowl on the side)--forget where to get these, and for dinner a character meal (ariels?) and Blue Byou for the ambiounce.

Now this is based only on what I have learned and read here on this board and roughly based on what we plan to do when we go in a few months

Yamabuki!!! lunch or dinner. lunch is what we always do but we have done dinner. lunch is never crowded at the times we've gone and the food is cheaper and sooo good!

anywhere that serves micky waffles. i wish i could buy that batter somewhere i love it!!

My choices would be:

Dinner - Cafe Orleans
Wine Country Trattoria
Rainforest Cafe

Lunch - Pizza Port
Rancho Del Zocalo

We always eat breakfast in our room, so no suggestions there.....
