Food, friendship, flowers and a touch of the Force. A May '13 TR; Updated 02/6

Love it!!! Love all of your Disney touches at the wedding!! It looks absolutely amazing!!!

Welcome back friends! We last left off with lunch at The Plaza and a stroll down Main Street.

There was hardly a line for Mary Poppins and one of her penguins, so Franklin and I went to say hello.

Next, we headed for Tomorrowland for a spin on the PeopleMover.

DSC_3334-L.jpg

I had to explain the oh-so-serious “No Dancing” rule to Meghan and Laura.

We next signed up to help Buzz Lightyear defeat the evil Emperor Zurg.

DSC_3369-L.jpg

Either Franklin or I scored this, I’m not entirely sure which one.

DSC_3372-L.jpg

We completed the space trifecta with a trip to the Mountain, Space Mountain.

DSC_3373-L.jpg

Famished after our intergalactic travels, we stopped at the Lunching Pad for some goodies. Franklin and I finally got to try a sweet cream cheese pretzel and the girls got a Mickey pretzel.

DSC_3374-L.jpg

DSC_3376-L.jpg

We loved the cream cheese pretzel and will definitely be ordering that again.

Franklin couldn’t spend the day wearing his favorite Dumbo shirt and not ride on the flying elephant, so we headed for Storybook Circus next.

We took our friends back through Fantasyland so they could see the other side of the castle.

DSC_3403-L.jpg

And half of us headed for Casey’s, while the other half went to Aloha Isle. Yes, it was time to eat again! See, this is why there was no ice cream at lunch.

What did we get? Dole Whips and corndog nuggets, of course!

DSC_3407-L.jpg

We next headed for Adventureland and a sail on the high seas.

Since our dinner plans would take us to New Fantasyland, we headed in that direction next. We even managed to continue our water theme!

Hey, look! The Mine Train is still under construction!

DSC_3568-L.jpg

It was time to check in for dinner. Be Our Guest time!

DSC_3569-L.jpg

We hung out on the bridge until our buzzer went off.

DSC_3575-L.jpg

The Beast was ready to greet us! Into the castle, everyone.

We were seated in the West Wing, our favorite!

Laura and Franklin both got beers.

DSC_3589-L.jpg

DSC_3592-L.jpg

I started with the onion soup.

DSC_3591-L.jpg

Franklin had the mussels.

DSC_3590-L.jpg

The master of the castle swung by between courses.

DSC_3615-L.jpg

Franklin ordered the steak.

DSC_3595-L.jpg

I had the pork, which was just okay. I should have just ordered the steak again, though the mac and cheese was really yummy!

DSC_3596-L.jpg

Laura had the cornish hen and Meghan had the salmon.

DSC_3598-L.jpg

DSC_3597-L.jpg

Laura was brought a birthday surprise.

DSC_3604-L.jpg

DSC_3603-L.jpg

She tried the grey stuff and it was delicious.

The four of us shared a lemon cupcake for dessert.

We stopped for a quick photo with the Beast before we headed out into the evening.

That's where we'll leave off for the evening. Who has eaten at BOG? What did you like and what didn't you like there?

Your photos are amazing!!! The quality of your pictures in the dark rides is awesome!!

I have never seen the words on the Epcot City of Tomorrow before. Trying to figure out how I've missed it all these times.

Dole whips and corn dog nuggets??/ What a combo!!!

Dinner looks amazing!!! I love BOG's steak!!!

Hope you are staying warm!

I had the braised pork for a BOG lunch and it was great. My sister and I tried the Masters cupcake and the strawberry cupcake. Both were good but I really loved the strawberry the best.
Great pictures and reporting as usual!!

I'm really distressed about BOG. I really want to try it, but there are tons of bad reviews. I was really excited to have scored a reservation there on our upcoming trip, but now there is a third person going with us and I haven't been able to get an ADR for three...

All of the ride pictures are amazing, per usual ;) It's funny how many details you notice when looking at those pictures compared with when you're trying to take everything in on the ride.

Thank you! The words on the Epcot model is the perfect example of all the details that surround us at Disney. We could take a million trips and still discover new details each time!

BOG was really good that night, the steak is definitely my favorite entree on the menu. Though I heard they might have added lamb, which I would love to try when we eat there in May!

Franklin had the braised pork at BOG for lunch and loved it! Is the Master's cupcake the new one with the grey stuff on it?

The reviews of BOG are decidedly mixed, even more so than say, 'Ohana. We love the atmosphere in the restaurant and each time the food has been either good or really good. I would never say it's the best food on Disney property. But it is a really good option for a sit-down meal while inside MK. It's worth a try.

As far as adding a person, try searching for an ADR for four, Disney's system sometimes has problems with odd numbers!

Following !

Thanks for following along! :goodvibes

Welcome back friends, we last left off with a wonderful dinner at Be Our Guest. And as we all know, things really heat up at MK after the sun goes down. It was time for Celebrate the Magic, so we settled onto Main Street for the show.

I have to admit, until Franklin and I went through these photos, I had never noticed Rapunzel’s parents letting the first lanterns fly.

As most of the people standing around us turned to head up Main Street, we weren’t ready to end our evening yet. So we turned right and made our way to Fantasyland.

Franklin wanted to take some night time shots of the Tangled area, so Laura, Meghan and I took a spin on It’s a Small World. Warning, I took these photos, so they’re nowhere near Franklin-quality.

It was a long, but wonderfully fun, day at Magic Kingdom. When you realize you have time for one last ride at MK before the park closes, which ride do you usually choose?

Wow, wow, wow!!!! AMAZING!!!!

Your pictures of IASW were good!! That's a tough ride to photograph because of the light and movement. You just don't give yourself enough credit!!

When we have time for one more ride at MK, it's usually a fight in our family to see whose choice we pick. Our favorite "last rides" are Peoplemover, Buzz, and LaughFloor!!

Oh My!!! Those photos were AHHH Mazing!!!!! Loved the Celebrate the Magic photos! I thought that castle show was so cool. I think I sat through it 4 times this summer-watched it from all different spots.

Favorite last ride, hmmm.? Splash is always fun if it is warm enough. Otherwise I'd say BTMRR! Seems like it goes even faster in the dark. But my favorite thing to do is people watch from the stairs to the Mainstreet Train station. ::yes:: I love to sit there and listen to the music and watch the park empty out, watch the Kiss Goodnight and enjoy the peace that comes over the Castle. (too sappy, right?!)

Have been following your other two reports, but just caught up on this one - enjoyable, as always ::yes::

(We are trying Tokyo Dining on our next trip, mostly due to your reviews)

Wow! Looking at Franklin's PICTURES of the castle show and Wishes nearly makes me cry! I am so watching the fireworks and the show from Main Street next time. Were you standing in the hub? I need to get my tripod out and pretend to be a great photographer like Franklin. :rotfl:

I think I mentioned it to you on another of your TRs, but I rode Pirates once about 10 minutes to closing. And EEEK! It was the spookiest Pirates ride ever. No one within any boats I could see ahead or behind me and no one on my boat either. Just a little wee bit scary!
