Does anyone work for Uber or Door Dash or Grub Hub? Do.you enjoy it? Does it pay well? Is one company better then the others

I'm not sure I count; I signed up and did a little bit about a week ago. What I read in my research is that GrubHub and Instacart are the best. Lots of complaints about UberEats. I did about an hour of each UberEats and DoorDash and made about 40 dollars the first time and 20 the second. For UberEats, I had a promo code from the program Rakuten that will add an additional 40 dollars. And, there is a program called Dovetail.ai and if you upload your earnings, you'll earn an additional 10 dollars per program per week, I believe.

I have signed up for Instacart and GrubHub but haven't done them yet.

Would I do this full-time? I don't think so because I'm not sure it would meet that need. Does it work for what I need (a sort of stop-gap in between positions)? Yeah. I think a lot depends on your working style, needs, etc. Be happy to talk through it more if that helps.

DH and I do door dash. We started during COVID when I lost my job (have a regular job now). We do it to supplement our income as we both have regular day jobs. He works full time. I work 4 days a week and take care of my dad a couple of days a week. The good thing is you can do it when it is convenient for you. You choose what deliveries to make so if it isn't worth your time you can just decline it. I don't know if you could make a full time living out of it (but I think some people do), but it definitely works for us to make extra cash as needed. It complicates taxes because you get a 1099. Not a big deal but makes it more annoying than if you just have a W-2. If you have any questions I'm happy to try and help with answers.

The majority of people that I know that do it have complained about how little they make when taking out the fuel and vehicle
Maintenance expense. Some have realized it has resulted in an additional expense to their household budgets earlier than planned due to having to replace their cars earlier. They would have been better off getting a part time job in retail where the miles wouldn’t rack up.

If looking for flexibility there are jobs that are out there that offer make your own hours. Legit ones that are not scams. For example, if available during the day look for key words such as stay at home parent. Those employers are looking for people available from 9-2 usually. In our area fast food workers, grocery, move managers, are all looking for this period and all allow you to pick your days.

My grandson works for door dash and is a senior in HS. He doesn't complain about the money and likes the job. I didn't ask what he made though, but he's happy with it.

My neighbors work from home, a couple in their 30's with a 5 year old child. I don't think the ever go to the store or restaurants. Every weekday right at noon, someone pulls with and drops a Taco Bell bag off. It must pay okay because the drivers seem to have high end cars, Mercedes, Lexus, Teslas, and a lot of Toyota Prius'.

Every weekday right at noon, someone pulls with and drops a Taco Bell bag off. It must pay okay because the drivers seem to have high end cars, Mercedes, Lexus, Teslas, and a lot of Toyota Prius'.

Based on what I hear from people some do this work in their high end cars to be able to make the payment on them as they are in over their head.
