Food Delivery and Take-out (pick up) close to Kidani Village?

We will be having a large group (almost 20) in a series of villas. We do have a couple of ADRs planned. But eating out is expensive (5 juniors) and way too time-consuming.

We have little ones in the group also, so eating in our villas is just simpler for the most part. We'll have breakfast foods and sandwiches available for lunch.

But I think the adults will be tired of sandwiches and nuggets for dinner. Originally, I was thinking about cooking some meals in the room. But the thought of even making spaghetti for 20 is making me . Even frozen prepared meals will require an hour plus of heating etc. We would need to use more than one kitchen (oven) to even heat up enough frozen pizza for everyone.

I think if every family fended for themselves in their own villa, it wouldn't be too bad. But I know that meal times is when everyone wants to "hang out," especially the kids.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to this large family gathering, but the planning of it is making me exhausted and the thought of "being in charge" of feeding the group is ...

While I know that the rest of the family is "willing" to help. They all have large families with little ones so I also KNOW I'll wind up doing a lot by default.

SO, I'm making an executive decision to have someone go out and pick up take out for dinner each night unless we can have it delivered instead. Interested in pizza and Italian, etc.

If we have to run out to pick up, would prefer someplace close to AKV to the west of WDW. Would be nice to call ahead and just run and pick up too if possible.

Was thinking maybe fried chicken and sides from Publix one night, pizza delivery the next, and then...

Anyone else have suggestions or have experience with this?

There's a Publix about 5 miles away from AKV:

There's also a Super Target and a number of other stores and restaurants along US192 near the Publix.

You have West Hwy 192 that is very close to the resort. They have everything from fast food, sit-down resturants that have take-out, Super Target, and Publix. You should be able to find something different each night. Just have the DHs, take a ride the first day and let them decide which places they want to pick up dinner each night.

To get to Hwy 192 as you leave AKV you make the first right turn available ( Sherberth Rd.) to 192, then turn right on to 192. Publix (on your right) and Super Target (on your left) are about 2 miles. There are many other restaurants on 192 that I'm sure you could get carryout from.

I love to get Take out, but I find the food is always better when served at the restaurant. Depends on the circumstances as to whether I get take out or dine in.

I felt this way last time we were there! The one thing I did make that was a hit and super easy was a frozen lasagna. It worked well for dinner and for quick left overs. Just throw it in the oven and serve! Sandwiches with cold cuts worked well too. Have a great time!!
