I'm wondering how the food is at the value and moderate resorts compared to the deluxe? Would you say it's the same?

It's all food, if that's what you mean.

At a Value resort, you will have a food court, no table service. At a mod, you'll have a food court, and at CSR, POR and CBR, a table service option.

At a Deluxe, you'll generally have Table Service, often a signature option, and the QS is not a food court, and has a more limited menu of options.

The difference in food between values, moderates, and deluxes is in the types of restaurants they have, not in the quality of food preparation.

Values each have a single large food court. Moderates have a food court and at least one table service restaurant (except POFQ, which just has a food court). Deluxes have some kind of quick service location and, usually, more than one table service restaurant.

The moderates and deluxes vary in the kind of food and variety of food served at quick service eateries, and in the number of quick service places. Some lean toward the burgers-and-fries-and-chicken-fingers crowd, some have more adventurous offerings. It's best to look over the menus and see what's offered where.

The quick service at the GF (Gasperilla's) was pretty bad when we were there. Gross burger, super disappointing "pizza". Just bad and really limited. Would not recommend. Go anywhere else, it would be hard to find worse. Breakfast at 1900 Park Faire was pretty great, for a buffet. The afternoon tea in the garden tea room was exceptional. We chose the least expensive option (the Bedfordshire tea?) and it was absolutely filling. Didn't have time to try any other restaurants on site.

I agree that it's the type of service where much of the difference lies. With our young kids, we thought the huge food court set-up was a pain. We didn't want to hassle with the different bays so we ended up ordering from one with average options and none of us were totally happy. We looked forward to TS where it was easier to order exactly what we liked and have it served to us. We didn't enjoy the buffet experience, either, but now that they're older we won't have to eat cold food because we had to escort and help our three young kids throughout the meal. The exception was breakfast at The Wave. It was so calm in there that two of our kids did just fine navigating the buffet line by themselves.

I like the single counter for QS and TS for a more relaxed experience so, Deluxe resorts suit our preferences. We're trying out POR next year and the only thing I'm "eh" about is navigating the food court, the few times it would be more convenient to eat there.
