Food at Hollywood Vine

Hi! I know it is a buffet, but can anyone tell me what kind of food is normally there? Thanks a bunch!

Breakfast was standard fare, but they did have cold cereal offerings, which I didn't see at the other character breakfast buffets.

Basically at dinner it is your standard buffet food. However, we went twice and won't go back -- bd food and bad service.

We've had dinner there twice and it is our least favourite. Pretty standard food (a bit heavy on the garlic for my taste--they tend to use whole cloves--but it can be picked out of some of the foods), but we had issues with the holding temperatures. Crystal Palace and Cape May seem to do a much better job. Tables are very close together, as well.

But if you have picky eaters and want the Fantasmic! Dinner Package, it may be your best option.

I'm one of those picky eaters--that's why we land there periodically.

Breakfast was great for us! Good food, great service, and not at all crowded. The character interaction was excellent even if it wasn't our favorite characters.
We use it as a means to get in the park early. Helped us be the one of the first people on Toy Story!

dinner was OK - nothing special. As others have said, tables very close together & very noisy in there (all tile & chrome)

We had breakfast there in May--mediocre selection. Yes, they have a lot of dry cereals, but limited variety in hot foods (we had just been to Crystal Palace breakfast the day before--much better selection there.)

Service at dinner was mediocre...at breakfast, it was terrible. Served warm juice...and comes back later & says "do you want ice in that -- it's always warm at early breakfast because it hasn't been in the fridge yet." Well, duh...if you KNOW it's warm before you serve it, why don't you tell me this before you serve & ask if I want it iced before bringing it! I sat there with no drink for almost 15 min. waiting for her to come back with iced juice. And it was nowhere close to busy in there. She was serving 3 tables. Period. And someone else was clearing the empty plates. She also messed up the receipts (on the DDP, 2 people on one room, 1 person on the other) She acted like it took an act of the Board to get the check separated that way. And blamed us for the mistake (yes, we told her we were on 2 diff. checks when we sat down. She just ignored us, same as the rest of our time there.)

Above are a few pictures from our dinners there. The food was fine. Was it outstanding gourmet? No. But it was decent.

The Broccoli slaw with soy nuts was a favorite of DP as I liked the garlic and parmesan mashed potatoes. The kids liked the mussels and shrimp and that the kids bar had whole pieces of chicken not just nuggets.

The desserts were the most lacking in my opinion. I love CP's selection of desserts.

It is noisy but so is CP.

We had dinner there last year for the Fantasmic deal. The service was slow. Once we got our drinks we didn't see the waiter for about an hour and he just came back to give us the check. The food was dreadful and I ended up leaving my whole plate barely touched and went and filled up on stuff from the kids buffet!

Twice for dinner- bad service and mediocre food. NOT a place we wik go back to, but not inedible. Just too many other choices with WAY better food!

We liked it for dinner. DHS is hardly the park with a great selection of restaurants anyway. The spooned cornbread was a favorite and we got our moneys worth from the peel and eat shrimp, muscles and carving station. We did ask for and receive horseradish. Service was ok, got plenty of refills on iced tea but when asking for coffee with dessert were brought in 'to go' containers.
