I’m Planning a trip the first week of September and am wondering if anyone knows when they usually announce the events and special dinners, etc for the food and wine festival.

Watch the sticky thread. Lots of good information there. I am also a fan of the Disney Food Blog Guide to the Food and Wine Festival e book that they do each year. About $15 and it lists everything in one place. Last year it was 260+ pages listing every kiosk and menu, all of the entertainment, food and wine pairings and special events.
