Food and Wine? Sounds Divine! An October TR - 12/2 A PTR Link!

Awww. Thanks for sharing. I came in here a little on the tired side after a long day of work.

The pictures of your DS' first haircut has brought a big smile on my face and I just loved looking at the pictures of the big reveal. What a great barber-ess you had.

I was up by 6:30 and got coffee ready and started working on our usual breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, muffins and fruit.
Eggs and bacon???? I want to go to Disney World with you. Our in room breakfasts are usually some Cheerios and whatever other random stuff we have. :rotfl2:

At 8:31am(←Andy! :lmao:), we saw this
:thumbsup2

Okay, I took WAY too many pictures during his haircut! So I’ve chosen the best ones for you guys and narrowed it down from 60 to 15 or so:rotfl:
Can't blame you. There was a whole lot of cuteness there. He looks like he did very well for his first haircut!

Oh my gosh, I had tears in my eyes this whole update!

His first haircut!! :goodvibes You got so many great pictures of the experience. I was so sad at how cute and "older" he looked with his big boy haircut. How adorable!

thanks for posting the pictures of his first haircut. I am looking forward to taking my son there in October for his first haircut! Hopefully his hair won't grow too fast between now and then! :goodvibes

Joining in! LOVE LOVE LOVE your report! DD is almost 10 months and will be 18 months when we go for our first F&W in October! Can't wait to read more!

I love every single one of these pictures but every child should go into their first hair cut with such enthusiasm! I love it and it really was a perfect haircut. And Mickey ears to boot. That is just precious! Way to go Calvin. I hope all his future haircuts go so well, but they won't. Trust me! :rotfl2:

What a great experience! I knew they offered this but never actually considered doing it until now. Who knew a haircut could be so magical? Now I'll have to tell Bobby that we will be planning a Disney trip around our future child's first haircut! :rotfl2:

The first haircut experience looks so cute! Beautiful photos, DS could be in a Disney commercial that seems like really good value to :thumbsup2

Emma princess: x

Yes! I thought it was such a great price for everything that you got. They could have easily charged $30 and people would still be paying for it.

Oh those pictures are just too cute for words!!!

Just made my day

Oh by the way, I didn't do a TR because I am lazy ;) I am contributing to the 'No Longer Coming To You Live' thread on the dining boards if you want to see some our antics

Okay I might just pop over then!:)

Oh my goodness you got some cute photos!!! All that for only $18? very cool. Margaret sounds fabulous.

Can't wait to see your BLT photos and what you thought of the room. That one is not high on my list but I know I need to get there eventually.

That's what I thought too whenever we went and paid for it! They could easily be charging upwards of $30 and I still would have paid that amount.

I'm surprised that BLT isn't up there on your list of resorts. Obviously location is marvelous, but now that there's VGF, I can see why you'd want to skip BLT. But you have to stay there one day, just to say you've stayed there.

great pics from the first haircut! Way more successful than when I try to cut/trim my son's hair! Guess I need to use more stickers :thumbsup2

I think my two favorite pictures are the one where you can see you taking the picture in the mirror and the one where he is eating the stickers :lmao:

Thanks! Stickers are the way to go, I guess. Need to remember that if I ever decide to be brave enough to cut his hair.

OMG those pics from the haircut are insanely cute!! How did you narrow it down?!

Love that they give the certificate and memorabilia for the haircut, it's a great idea!

Jayne, it was difficult, not gonna lie! :lmao:

His first haircut is so cute!

What a great experience for you all!

I love all the pictures and I would have taken the same amount as you did :)

Yeah, way too many pictures...and a 15 minute video on our video camera too:rotfl2: Wanted to capture it all in every way possible!

What a great first haircut experience! Calvin did a great job. Great pictures mom! I love the ones from the back with him looking in the mirror.

Those are my favorite too! Wish I had a better lens that wouldn't have made him look so blurry in the mirror.

Alicia...I finally got caught up with your TR after being away from the DISboards for the past few months. As usual, your TR is great. More please? :)

Welcome back! Gotta go over to your Oct TR!

Aww, great first haircut! I can't believe how much hair he had at that age! Izzy still doesn't have that much and she's almost 17 months now. I'm pretty sure they barely cut off anything at hers. :rotfl2: Anyway, looks like he had a lot of fun! We played with that spinning Minnie too, but the sticker to keep it on would have been a great idea...instead, they had me amusing her with it, which meant I hardly saw what they were doing with her hair. Oh, well. You got a lot of nice pictures! Looks like they did a great job. Now I feel guilty - I just came across our receipt, all crumpled up, the other day and decided to throw it away. :rotfl: But we have the certificate and hair clippings and all - those can go in the scrapbook.

I'm thinking you were on your way towards Space Mountain, given your FP+ screenshot. However, you do have some spare time, so you're probably stopping off somewhere fun along the way? Look forward to hearing about it! Also excited to see what your BLT accommodations are like.

:rotfl2: Don't feel guilty! Had Margaret not told me about the receipt, I would have thrown it away too.

I'm hoping to get that update in today! I'm not allowed to update at nights anymore, since the DIS takes a while to upload and it makes DH's video games 'lag':rolleyes1

Thanks PIO. She was absolutely amazing and glad these pics were able to bring a little smile to your face :)

Eggs and bacon???? I want to go to Disney World with you. Our in room breakfasts are usually some Cheerios and whatever other random stuff we have. :rotfl2:

This is because of DH. I can easily just have some fruit, coffee and some type of pastry. If DH is going to eat breakfast, it needs to be a 'real' breakfast, which I didn't complain about.

Can't blame you. There was a whole lot of cuteness there. He looks like he did very well for his first haircut!

He did amazing. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but he surprised me and did wonderful!

Oh my gosh, I had tears in my eyes this whole update!

His first haircut!! :goodvibes You got so many great pictures of the experience. I was so sad at how cute and "older" he looked with his big boy haircut. How adorable!

I know! All the pictures from here on out make him look like he's so much older with that big boy haircut :sad1: As much as I loved the haircut, it made me sad too..

thanks for posting the pictures of his first haircut. I am looking forward to taking my son there in October for his first haircut! Hopefully his hair won't grow too fast between now and then! :goodvibes

You're going to absolutely love it! Such an amazing experience.

Joining in! LOVE LOVE LOVE your report! DD is almost 10 months and will be 18 months when we go for our first F&W in October! Can't wait to read more!

Welcome! You're going to have so much, especially with your DD at that age. :goodvibes

That is just precious! Way to go Calvin. I hope all his future haircuts go so well, but they won't. Trust me! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl: I know!!! Debating on whether I should learn to cut myself or pawn him off on some poor barber!

What a great experience! I knew they offered this but never actually considered doing it until now. Who knew a haircut could be so magical? Now I'll have to tell Bobby that we will be planning a Disney trip around our future child's first haircut! :rotfl2:

:lmao: Exactly! Honestly, this was one of the first things I thought about when planning a trip. I think we started planning this trip a month after we got back from our December trip and one of my thoughts was getting his hair cut done at HBS. But wasn't sure if is hair would grow fast enough. But it did!

Omg I love the pictures of his first haircut!!! He is too cute. What a great experience.

I'm loving your TR! I just found it and I'm hooked, I read through the whole thing in one sitting. :thumbsup2 Your family is adorable! Loved the pics of Baby's first haircut, especially the one that you could see the back of his hat while he was looking in the mirror- too cute!

Can't wait to hear about your room at BTL! We are doing a AKV/BLT split-stay in November! :cheer2:

That is so cute! Disney does it so right, the certificate and hat and everything. Those are such great memories to be cherished. Im not one to go gaga over babies and I even thought this was absolutely adorable!

We are back and I am all caught up! :thumbsup2

May I add that I just LOVE the update! What a cute experience at the barber shop! And those first haircute ears are an awesome idea! :goodvibes

How adorable are those haircut photos!!! Calvin appeared to like the stickers as much as the Minnie toy. Now the big question is did he mind giving up the Minnie toy? :rotfl: I believe it that they book solid seeing as how that is such a great deal for $18. And that includes the My 1st haircut ears??

You did great getting packed up and being a resort changer and having a haircut appointment by 9:30am.

I can't wait to see your photos of BLT! Another of my favorites. :)

Aw thanks Rachel! I think you're going to love the location of BLT, especially with little ones at the end of a long day at MK. Welcome!

That is so cute! Disney does it so right, the certificate and hat and everything. Those are such great memories to be cherished. Im not one to go gaga over babies and I even thought this was absolutely adorable!

Thanks Alison!:goodvibes

Love the First Haircut update! Jack got his first haircut there too, so much fun!!

I'm so glad I booked this. There may not have been an abundance of hair, but I wanted his first cut to be at our favorite place and hopefully, one day his favorite place!

We are back and I am all caught up! :thumbsup2

May I add that I just LOVE the update! What a cute experience at the barber shop! And those first haircute ears are an awesome idea! :goodvibes

Welcome back Karin! Can't wait to hear about your trip.

Can you believe all that with the ears is $18!?! Phenomenal. So much fun and would do it again for our next child (not that i'm even thinking of having another baby right now but later:rotfl2:)

***We were out of the barbershop by 9:55am and on our way…to where??***

If you guessed on our way to see the Mayor, you’re correct! :cool1: We had never seen or met him before so we took this opportunity to do that. I have no clue what the conversation was between the Mayor and DH. I was too busy trying to get them together to take a picture so other people could get a shot with him.

DS doesn’t seem very impressed that it’s the Mayor

He’s a very nice man! Luckily for us, not nearly as ‘hands-on’ with DH as he was with Brenda (emmysmommy) :rotfl2:

Took a few shots of the decorations

And took some PP pictures

Moving closer to the castle

As soon as the shot was taken, I was left hanging in the dust

:rotfl:

I did catch up to them to get this picture

I’m pretty sure this guy walked right into my shot. Oh well.

So where do we go? It’s a little after 10 and our FP+ for Space Mountain is from 10:05 – 11:05. Let’s just walk and find out.

DH really wanted to show DM the Laugh Floor so that’s where we went. Before leaving on this trip, we went over a few of the attractions and this was one she was not interested in at all, but majority rules!

I’d feel safe leaving DS with this group everyday

This setup brought back memories from DS’s 1st birthday party

DM thought this show was the funniest and cutest thing ever! She didn’t expect it to be like that, but loved how it got the audience involved and loved the jokes. I’m really glad she enjoyed it.

We still had lots of time before our FP+ was up, so the next closest thing to us was..

My absolute favorite ride in all the earth!

Um, people?! Did they not get the memo that this was the Peoplemover? The grandest ride ever!

I guess I asked for video

One day, I’ll get a clear shot of this

Got a view of our home for the next few nights

After our relaxing ride around Tomorrowland, it was time to use our FP+ for Space Mountain. As we got off the TTA, DM saw these at a little toy kiosk and wanted to get them for DS for Christmas. DH was very excited as he loves army men! (he thinks any toy that DS gets, DH can play with as well :lmao:)

I love that it includes the injured soldier

DH and I left DM and DS in a shady, cool area because it was starting to get pretty warm out and then it was time!

We got to bypass everyone playing games. Have never been able to try these out. Guess that’s a good thing right?

DH and I always die laughing on this ride! I think it’s because we’re still not familiar with all the turns and don’t know when they’re coming unlike at DL so we end up laughing the entire time.

After Space Mountain, it was a little after 11am and our reservations for BoG was soon approaching, so we thought we should hang out over in that area, so that’s where we headed

Checking out the construction on the Mine Train. I’m so excited for some of my DIS friends that will be there this Spring when it should be ready to ride!

We decided to check out the line for BoG…WOW!

This is quite a line. A line we probably wouldn’t have stood in because it was getting hot and a little humid. I was so happy that we had been granted some pixie dust from the night before and now have FP’s!

We headed towards Gaston’s Tavern and saw Gaston doing a Meet and Greet! There wasn’t even a question about standing in line to meet him. DH ran over and got in the very short line. He absolutely insisted because he loved him more, he would meet him first :rotfl:. And then he was meeting his dream man

They shook hands like manly men, compared muscles, you know the regular guy stuff that comes up in normal conversations.

And then it was my turn :hyper: And here's the big news...we're ENGAGED!

He asked me if that was my boyfriend and I said no my husband. And he said loudly enough to make sure that DH could hear, “Well my muscles are bigger so I’ll just make you my wife!” It cracked us all up!

After our meet, we found a sleeping boy

So peaceful!

We were approaching the fountain and DH ran over and did his pose from last time. Guess this is going to be a ritual!

It was only 11:20 and we were all getting hungry so off we headed to check into BoG!

What a fun update. DH running up to Gaston is priceless! :rotfl:

Love that Laugh Floor, have had some great laughs in there.

What a fun update!

I just love that you did Laugh Floor (which we missed the last few times) and Peoplemover - our all time favourite ride! :thumbsup2

Your meet with Gaston looks so funny and congrats on getting engaged (again! :rotfl2:). So what did your DH have to say about that. ;)

Calvin is just so cute sleeping in his buggy.
