Food and Wine Preview Tables In Wonderland Event (2016-06-26)

Am I understanding this right? Festival tasting sampler is $59. You get to choose 8 different dishes around WS and a pin?

Normally each dish is around $5.
5x8=40 so the pin is $19?? Or did prices go way up per dish? Tell me what I'm missing.

Will just say that they had something similar at this year's Disneyland F&W (much smaller event)--we went the first weekend and bought the sampler pass (which was only available to APs)---apparently people figured out pretty quickly that they weren't really a "deal" unless you only used them for items over $7.50 or so--within two weeks they had reduced the price by I think $10--and if you brought it back they actually gave me a gift card worth $20 for having bought one to begin with. So I would think they will be careful on how they market these.

Since they already succeeded with this package last year as evidenced by them offering it again this year I don't think there will be any price reduction happening at WDW. It's a case of Buyer beware. It is best that anyone do the math to figure out if the sampler package will work for them. I only used it on the most pricey drinks so I got my moneys worth in that respect but some of those drinks were downright awful and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for them. If anyone isn't sure I'd advise they just put the money on a gift card & buy whatever they want at each booth, they'd most likely end up getting more than 8 items for that same $59.

That's very nice of DL to do but florida is the dumping ground so we don't usually see anything nice like this.. when 90% of the visitors are locals, there is somsething about pissing them off that disney wants to avoid.. here it's 90% non-locals that probably won't come back anyway so why not piss them off.

Also seems like it is the convenience factor and the pin as an added collectible/bonus ... reminds me a bit of the dining plan which can work out $ wise if you pick the more expensive items but that some people like anyway just for the convenience

@Accident - thank you for this thread. Found out July 21st date here, & set reminder in phone. Booked ETTB Dining Package this AM, so excited. 1st F&W.
