Food and Wine - Post your events and misses

Woo Hoo :woohoo: ...Sweet Sunday 10/15 9-11

AND Party For the Senses 10/21! I am so excited! I sure hope to see some of you folks out there...so don't forget to wear your green ok? :cool1: Helen

I got
PFS 10/28
Regional Feast Peru 10/25
Food and Wine Pairings Morocco 10/24

Waitlisted for Exquisite Evenings France - A Bordeaux Affair 10/27

I did get an email back on the Waitlist so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I just discovered that my e-mail had not been delivered so I'm trying to e-mail through a different account. Has anyone else had an e-mail reject?

Mine did not reject, but when I heard other say they got a confirmation to be on waitlist, I got worried. So I resent it this morning. Ended up with two confirmations a few hours later.

Called about 7:30AM on Monday (we were flexible on dates/locales for food and wine pairings...just want to make sure we got the Sushi, Saki and Sashimi seating on 10/23 (our favorite) and a couple other pairings pretty much any day)

Hits:
PFTS: 10/21 and 10/28
Pairings: Italy 10/22, Japan 10/23 and Coral Reef 10/25

Misses:

I thought it might be nice to do a summary thread on how got what and who didn't get what.. instead of having it buried on page 15 of the old thread

Me (Solo)

10/14 Party for the Senses
10/14 Wine & Cheese pairing (how much can I drink in one day, better use Disney drivers!)
10/17 Food & Wine Pairing in Morroco.

Got everything I wanted, but may try to make a change later today.

We're also doing the Party on the 14th!

We tried for The Call of the Wild Food and Wine Pairing at Le Cellier, but it's sold out. We'll just have to keep calling back. We did get one at Bistro though...

We went to Wine School 101 last year w/ Karen McNeil. There were about 25 people. We LOVED it. :thumbsup2 I wanted to go to the 9/30 Wine School. But since we're taking the red eye from LA to Florida and arrive on 9/30 - I didn't think I could stay awake and enjoy it as much.

By the way, allearsnet.com has been updated to show some sold out events. Not sure how accurate it is, but it might be helpful to some.

10/7 Party for the Senses (just DH and I; also DH's 34th bday that night :) )

That's all so far; we're debating either Kitchen Coversations or Sweet Sundays.

:sunny: Amy

Such a small world! DH, 2 friends and I will be celebrating my 30th bday at the Party for the Senses on 10/7!!! :cool1:

Just curiouse....if you go to any of the events do you HAVE to drink wine or do they offer water etc.? I am not a wine drinker at all...it makes me TIPSY too fast! :p :rotfl2:

They have bottled water, some beer, champagne and sometimes a speciality drink like a Remmy Martin drink they had last year.

PFTS has bottled water available (also used to rinse out the wine glasses) as well as beer and sometimes other alcoholic drinks.

Signature dinners and exquisite evenings serve bottled water as well as the wine.

The lunch & learns I went to last year had iced tea at the place settings as well as the wine.

Synchronized with atomic clock and dialed right at stroke of 7 a.m. On hold 3 1/2 minutes! Got everything we wanted!

PFTS
Exquisite Evening
Wine and Food in Balance

Our wine tasting will be around the countries this year! :drinking1 :smooth: :drinking1

Excuse Me I Thought Someone Would Tell Me About Other Drink Options

(Perhaps they would have IF you had asked a question. Your OP was a statement not a question)
