Food and Wine Gift Cards

So we decided to take Corey's advice and load a gift card with money for Food and Wine. We used it the other night and it worked great.. No need to fiddle with cash at every booth and worrying about losing money. Re-loaded it last night with $100 in Mexico and was on my way...oh ya...also realized you can only load these cards at merchandise locations not food booths. Was having great time and then realized the card part broke off the little plastic part and the card was gone. Crap... When I first bought the card they said hang on to your receipt and if it gets lost you can take your receipt to any booth and get it cancelled and then the can reload a new one. I went to the first booth I saw and was told by numerous CM's that they couldn't do it. A manager came over and suggested I call the number on the back of the card, I let him know that I didn't have a cell phone....I do but no phone plan in the US and it would cost me a fortune to make the call. They suggested I go to guest services which was at the front of the park. Yikes... The CM offered to make the call and figure it out instead and then actually brought us a snack from one of the booths while we were waiting. The CMs were great, after about 20 minutes a CM came over and gave me a new card with the same amout I had on it before I lost it, I kept my receipts so I had my last receipt on me. So with that and the original receipt we were good.

So the reason I post this is to let you guys know about the potential issues. It all worked out and the CM's were great. But I definitely keep my gift card in my pocket now instead of on my wrist.
