need your opinions on the food and wine festival. Trying to decide if we are going in september or if we should go in october for the festival.

This year's festival was our first. It was a good time. I guess I would consider what the reasons are for going in September over October.
And not to scare anyone away -- but after this year's hurricanes..... I would opt for October. Slightly safer time frame I think. There is a slight peak chance mid October, but nothing like previous peaks. And after mid October the chances lessen.
Probably no hurricanes will pass through. But who would have ever guessed what happened this last hurricane season? Everyone would have said IMPOSSIBLE.

Loved Food and Wine Festival!!! We only did the food/wine booths around the World Showcase (no culinary demos or the fancy wine tastings or dinners), but I think it was worth it!

We really enjoy the Food and Wine Festival.. we like going around the last week of October, the first week of November.. that way I get the F&W as well as the Halloween fun...

I vote for October...

I have been visiting the Food and Wine Festival at the end of each October for the past seven years now and couldn't miss it! I would just generally go in October compared to September because of the lessened chances of rain and hurricanes.

We went at the very beggining of October this year and EPCOT was virtually empty. We really enjoyed F&W fest! I'm pretty sure the hurricanes had thrown off attendence this year, so I wouldn't count on it being as empty next year as it was this year, but it should still be a good time to go.

One of the other benefits to going in October is MNSSHP - we attended for our first time and it was well worth the admission price - and we didn't have any kids with us!!

I'll be the dissenting voice. I hated the Food and Wine Festival. The portions were small and extremely expensive, even by Disney standards. You could spend a fortune and still be hungry! Touring the World Showcase was congested and hard to maneuver with a stroller. WHy? Because there were a LOT of tipsy (and drunk) cursing people who'd cut you off, step on the front stroller wheels and were generally oblivious to anyone but themselves. I'd say, if you are going without kids it's probably great, but it wasn't a very family-friendly environment when we went last November and now I make a point of not being there. On the otherhand, Future World was virtually empty, and we particularly enjoyed it in the evenning when everyone else was at the F&W
