Food and Wine Festival

Hello,

I'm a new family member, just two months ago I signed on at BWV. My contract had some unused points which I needed to use before December. After working through my schedule I got a reservation at SSR from Oct. 5th to 11th. I and my 6 yo dd, she'll be 7 before Oct., and maybe another adult will be going. I read this will be during the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. Can anyone give me the scoop on this event. How much does it cost? Do I need other dinner reservations or is it enough? Would a 7yo enjoy? I take it we need Epcot tickets to get in?

Do people go to other parks, say Magic Kingdom in the morning then to Epcot for Lunch/Dinner? Is it crowded to the point of making it difficult to get food? or even being not enjoyable? Are there certain times or days to go?

Any recommendations on how to plan this trip?

Any secret ways to get to Epcot from SSR?

we do I late lunch about 2 pm the around 5 or 6 pm we go to Epcot and just nibble around the world. All the portions are a good size and cost between $2 to $4 etc they have wine and beer too.
