I'm so excited  , I just found out that I am going to WDW for a few days in November :cheer2: . My main goal on this trip is to get to the Food and Wine Festival (I have never been). But this is my question, on the day we visit the festival should I make ADR's for dinner? From what I hear there is alot of food you can sample (for a price) at the festival. Would it be enough to consider a meal?? popcorn:: Thanks to all who are in the "know"!!!! :teacher:

We were there in November. The Food and Wine Festival is fun, but if you are going to be in Epcot all day, I would definitely make dinner reservations. Each booth has 3-4 items to choose from for a few dollars. It'll add up. I think most of them offered a dessert item as well. Yes, you can make a meal out of the booths, but if you are eating all afternoon like that you may want a "real meal" and to sit down for dinner. We wished we had made reservations for our trip. Just my opinion. But the festival was great!

I am going during the fest. and I did make 2 epcot ADRS - one day : le cellier and the other coral reef, we usualy enjoy having a bigger lucnhmy ADR"s are both at 1:30pm - then the rest of the day I just plan on us "snacking through the world" :cheer2:

We go every year in Oct and believe me, those snacks and tastes will fill you up. We usually do a big breakfast so by the time World Showcase opens, we are ready to start knoshing.

I did this on some of my trips, but the price is high if you taste from all boots. If this is no problem then you can get full on them... Otherwise, taste the once you're really interested in and go for a mail in the evening...

Whatever you do ... enjoy your stay

We've been several times. We love the Food and Wine Festival. I usually leave one day without any ADR's and we "Nosh Around the World" from the food booths. For us it is more than enough food, and if we found we were hungry we would just do a WS CS, Our last 2 trips we were on the Dining Plan. Since I did not make a TS for 1 night, that meant we were able to do a Signature Restaurant (2 TS) on one night. It worked out great for us!
HTH.

Like everything else at Disney, it's a matter of personal choice. There's been ~ 20 booths in the past, and each has a dessert and a couple other selections (soup, meat, vegetarian, pasta, etc). We're there to enjoy what F&W has to offer and can eat in the Epcot restaurants on other trips.

But, we never spend an entire day in the park any more, so we're not looking for a 'break" to sit down and relax and be waited on. Our routine is to go for a few hours and slowly 'eat our way around the world' for either dinner of lunch, with lots of rest stops to enjoy the tasting and people watch. We never get more than 1/2 way around, so go back a second time to finish the experience. These are very small portions ...... ~ 1/2 an appetizer size. DH and I often split the selections, but not always. That's part of the fun ---- it's so easy to try so many different things without buying an entire entree.

Because so many people have posted that the weekends are busier, we're always at Epcot during the week, when we only need to spend a few minutes in line. I've never added it up, but suspect that what we spend would be similar to a sit down meal, so it's probably not a $$$ saver. But it's fun, and we're going again this year for F&W because it's something different to do.

Some people just aren't into snacking that much, and want to have "real food", so if that's your preference, make an ADR. Or, if you're definitely spending the entire day at Epcot, you might really enjoy a break and a sit down meal. Now that I think about it, we usually DO have a sit down meal that day, but it's just not in Epcot :thumbsup2
(And you can always make an ADR and cancel it)

Hope you have a great trip!

I am on KDR's plan. I don't need a meal. I have a DVC membership and book my Food and Wine stays at BCV so I can just wander back to the villa for a break.

I really enjoy the festival and am keeping my fingers crossed that I actually get to go this year (Work issues!)

Thanks everyone for the advice!!! You have all been so helpful. :thumbsup2 Thanks again!! :thanks:
